The 2018 FIBA Africa Women's Champions Cup was the 24th edition of the FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship for Women, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Africa. The tournament was held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 17 to 25 November 2018.

Contents

Ferroviário de Maputo from the host country won their maiden title, and their country's sixth title overall, by edging out the five-time champions Interclube of Angola, 59-56, in the Finals. [1]

The draw for the tournament took place on 15 November in the Mozambican capital city of Maputo. [2]

It also served as the qualifying tournament for FIBA Africa at the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament in Brazil. The tournament was held in Radès, Tunisia. The winner qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament.

2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations

The 2016 Women Africa Cup of Nations was the 12th edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations, the biennial international football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the women's national teams of Africa. The tournament was held in Cameroon between 19 November and 3 December 2016. The initial dates were 8–22 October 2016, but were changed due to weather considerations. A total of eight teams played in the tournament.

The top four teams qualified and will represent FIBA Asia in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Thailand.

The 2020 BAL Qualifying Tournaments are the inaugural qualifying tournaments of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the newly launched premier basketball league of Africa jointly organized by the NBA and FIBA. While the NBA will co-organise from the regular season, the qualifiers are completely organised by FIBA Africa.

The Elite Messieurs, also known as Cameroon Basketball League, is the premier basketball league for clubs in Cameroon. The league consist out of eight teams. The defending champions are Condor BC.
