First

The 2018 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, a new annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League. [1] [2] [3] The tournament was held in Lima, Peru between 20 and 24 June. [4]

Contents

Bulgaria won the title, defeating Colombia in the final, and earned the right to participate in the 2019 Nations League replacing Argentina, the last placed challenger team after the 2018 edition. [5] Puerto Rico defeated Peru in the third place match. [5]

Teams were seeded following the Serpentine system according to their FIVB World Ranking as of August 2017. [11] FIVB reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of Pool A regardless of the World Ranking. Rankings are shown in brackets except hosts who ranked 26th.

The remaining 7 places were determined by a qualification process, in which entrants from among the other teams from the five FIVB confederations competed.

The men's qualification for the Olympic beach volleyball tournament will occur between January 2023 and June 2024. The competition will comprise a total of 24 men's beach volleyball pairs coming from different NOCs, similar to those in the previous editions; each NOC can enter a maximum of two pairs in the men's tournament. As the host nation, France reserves the direct spot for the men's beach volleyball pair.

The 2023 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the fourth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup, an annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by eight national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament was held at Espace Mayenne in Laval, France, between 27 and 30 July 2023.

The 2024 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship will be the 1st edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship, the biennial international youth volleyball championship contested by the women's national teams under the age of 17 of the members associations of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. It will be held in Peru from 17 to 24 August 2024.
