Seth Aaron Rogen is a Canadian actor, comedian and filmmaker. Originally a stand-up comedian in Vancouver, he moved to Los Angeles for a part in Judd Apatow's series Freaks and Geeks in 1999, and got a part on Apatow's sitcom Undeclared in 2001, which also hired him as a writer. Rogen landed a job as a staff writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show (2004), for which the writing team was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. Apatow subsequently guided him toward a film career.

John Edmund Mulaney is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Mulaney first rose to prominence for his work as a writer for the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2008 to 2013, where he contributed to numerous sketches and characters, including Stefon, a recurring character that he and Bill Hader co-created. Since his departure from SNL, Mulaney has hosted it several times, becoming a member of the SNL Five Timers Club in 2022.

Iliza Vie Shlesinger is an American stand-up comedian, actress and television host. She was the 2008 winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing and went on to host the syndicated dating show Excused from 2011 to 2013. She has hosted the TBS game show Separation Anxiety.

Albert Charles Kreischer Jr. is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host and actor. In 1997, he was featured in an article in Rolling Stone while attending Florida State University. The magazine named Kreischer "the top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country." The article also served as inspiration for the 2002 film National Lampoon's Van Wilder. Kreischer has served as host of the television series Hurt Bert on FX as well as Bert the Conqueror and Trip Flip on Travel Channel. He appeared in The Machine, a comedy film loosely based on his life.

It serves as Shlesinger's fifth Netflix stand-up special, following War Paint from 2013, Freezing Hot from 2015, Confirmed Kills from 2016 and Elder Millennial from 2018. In Unveiled, newlywed Iliza Shlesinger discusses the topic of marriage and its traditions from a modern, feminist perspective. Shlesinger uses relatable anecdotes to address the societal pressures placed on women during the wedding planning process, as well as the absurdity of some of the longstanding traditions associated with marriage. It was released on November 19, 2019, on Netflix.

They were honored by Jon Stewart, John Mulaney, Chelsea Handler, and Dave Chappelle. Pete Davidson opened the show. The special was a part of Netflix is a Joke Fest comedy festival which was recorded live on May 1, 2022, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
