2019 European Diving Championships – Men's 10 metre platform

Men's 10 metre platform event at the 2019 European Diving Championships was contested on 11 August. Ukrainian Oleksii Sereda, aged 13 years and seven months at the time, won the gold medal becoming the youngest European Diving champion ever.^[1]

Results

19 athletes participated at the event; the best 12 from the preliminary round qualified for the final.^[2]^[3]

Daniel Goodfellow is a British diver, two-time Commonwealth champion and Olympic bronze medalist. Goodfellow won a bronze medal in the Men's 10m Synchronised Platform event with his diving partner Tom Daley at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. George Danzer is an entrepreneur and former German professional poker player, based in Salzburg, Austria who is a four-time World Series of Poker bracelets winner, winning the inaugural $10,000 Seven Card Razz Championship and then the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud High-Low Championship at the 2014 World Series of Poker. The 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships was an international swimming competition held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, from the 4th to the 10th of August. Around 375 athletes from 35 different countries attended. The venue, the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium, also held the 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships.

Matthew Lee is a British diver and Olympic gold medallist. Adept in both individual and synchronised diving, and across both 3-metre springboard and platform, Lee won the gold medal in 10-metre platform at the 2015 European Games, the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform at the 2017 European Diving Championships and has twice been European junior champion on the 3-metre springboard. Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting an Olympic and European record. At the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Ingebrigtsen took silver in the event and a gold for the 5000 metres. He is a four-time European champion, winning the 1500 m/5000 m double in 2018 and 2022. Eden Cheng is an English elite diver representing Great Britain and England. She won her first major medal in 2018 at the age of 15, when she won the gold medal at the European Championships in the 10 metre platform synchro with Lois Toulson.

Oleksiy Viktorovych Sereda is a Ukrainian diver. He is the 2019 European champion in the 10 metre platform event.

Oleh Maksymovych Serbin is a Ukrainian diver. He is a 2019 European silver medalist in the 10m synchro event.

Women's 1 metre springboard event at the 2019 European Diving Championships was contested on 10 August. The Russian Vitaliia Koroleva, ranked at the 13th place and eliminated after the preliminary round, entered the final due to the withdrawal of Italian Elena Bertocchi, and managed to win the gold medal.

Anastasia R. Makarova is a Russian competitive swimmer. In the 100 metre breaststroke, she won the gold medal at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and silver medals at the European Junior Swimming Championships in 2018 and 2019. In the 200 metre breaststroke, she won a silver medal at the 2019 World Junior Championships, a gold medal at the 2018 European Junior Championships, and a silver medal at the 2019 European Junior Championships. In the 50 metre breaststroke, she won a bronze medal at the 2019 European Junior Championships.

Aidan Heslop is a British diver and high diver who competes internationally representing Wales and Great Britain. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games he competed representing Wales, finishing 6th in the 10 metre platform and 12th in the 3 metre springboard. In 2021, he won the gold medal in the 27 metre high dive at the Abu Dhabi Aquatics Festival representing Great Britain, performing the highest difficulty dive, a 6.2 degree of difficulty, in history. He placed sixth in the inaugural men's high dive at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships.

Kirill Boliukh is a Ukrainian diver. He won two silver medals at the 2022 European Championships.
