The 2019 General Aung San Shield Final is the 9th final of the MFF Cup. The General Aung San Shield winner will qualify to AFC Cup competition. The match was contested by Shan United and Yangon United at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. The match will play on 21 September 2019 and was the final match of the Bogyoke Aung San Cup.
It is Shan United's second times General Aung San Shield final. Last time, they won against Yangon United in 2017 General Aung San Shield.
Yangon United were playing a record 5th MFF Cup final. They had previously won against Hanthawaddy United in 2018 General Aung San Shield final. [3]
Both Shan United and Yangon United received a ticket allocation of 10,000 for the game. Ticket prices were Ks.1,000/- (Normal Ticket) and Ks.2,000/- (Special Ticket).

The MPT Myanmar National League is the premier national professional football league of Myanmar. In 2009, the league replaced the Myanmar Premier League, which consisted only of 14 Yangon-based football clubs, with eight professional clubs representing different regions across the nation. On 16 May 2009, the league launched its inaugural two-month tournament, the Myanmar National League Cup 2009 in preparation for the first full season in 2010. Despite its national ambitions, the league held the MNL Cup 2009 matches in the country's two main stadiums in Yangon due to the lack of adequate facilities elsewhere. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon FC defeated Yangon United FC in the MNL Cup final to become the first-ever MNL Champions.
MNL Cup Grand Royal 2009 is the inaugural knock-out club football tournament of the Myanmar National League. The tournament, held at the Aung San Stadium and the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon between 16 May and 5 July 2009, was contested by all eight clubs of the newly formed professional league. Yadanabon FC finished on top, one point ahead of Yangon United FC in group stage. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon defeated Yangon United in the cup final on penalty shootout, to become the reigning champions of the league.
