The 2019 Torneio Internacional de Futebol Feminino (officially the 2019 Torneio Uber Internacional de Futebol Feminino for sponsorship reasons) [1] was the ninth edition of the Torneio Internacional de Futebol Feminino, an invitational women's football tournament held in Brazil.

The Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa, also known as Taça de Prata, or nicknamed Robertão, was an association football competition contested in Brazil between 1967 and 1970 among soccer teams from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais and Paraná states. It was an important soccer tournament, being considered a predecessor to the Brazilian Championship induced in 1971. Thus in 2010 the Brazilian Football Confederation decided to consider the winners of the Robertão as Brazilian champions. The 1st edition of the tournament was organized by Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and Federação Paulista de Futebol.

The Torneio Internacional de Futebol Feminino is an annual global invitational tournament for national teams in women's association football. Held every December in Brazil since 2009, the first four editions took place in São Paulo and Brasília hosted the 2013 and 2014 competitions. The 2015 edition will be hosted by Natal. Initially, it was organized by the Municipal Prefecture of São Paulo and the Federação Paulista de Futebol (FPF). Three teams are invited to take part alongside Brazil. All matches in a particular tournament are staged at a single venue: Estádio do Pacaembu, in São Paulo, Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha in Brasília and Arena das Dunas in Natal. In 2016, the tournament was moved to Manaus.

The Torneio Prefeito Lineu Prestes was a tournament organized by Federação Paulista de Futebol (FPF) realized in 1950, with the objective of checking the last preparations for the Estádio do Pacaembu, which was to host the 1950 FIFA World Cup matches. The competition name is in honor of Lineu Prestes, the incumbent mayor of São Paulo in 1950. The tournament was also worth the Troféu Newton Sá e Silva, in honor of the administrator of the Pacaembu stadium.
