The 2019 MFF Charity Cup (also known as the 2019 MPT Charity Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the 8th Charity Cup, [2] an annual football match played between the winners of the previous National League and Domestic Cup competitions. It was held at Aung San Stadium on 6 January 2018. The match was played between Yangon United, champions of the 2018 Myanmar National League and Shan United, runner-up of the 2018 Myanmar National League.

Contents

This was Yangon United's 5th Cup appearance and Shan United's 3rd time Cup appearance, they won Charity Cup for the first time as Kanbawza FC in 2016.

Hantharwady United Football Club is a professional football club, based in Bago, Myanmar, and represents the Bago Region. The club was a founding member of the Myanmar National League (MNL) in 2009. David Htan is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as a right back for Myanmar national football team and Shan United F.C.

Set Phyo Wai is a footballer from Burma, and a midfielder for the Myanmar U-23 football team and Yangon United FC. In 2014, Set Phyo Wai transferred to Magwe. Currently he plays main role at Shan United.

The 2016 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2016 Ooredoo Myanmar National League, was the 7th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009.The transfer period for the 2016 season was from 1 November 2015 to 8 January 2016.

The 2019 Myanmar National League is the 10th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Myanmar professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2009, also known as MPT Myanmar National League due to the sponsorship deal with Myanma Posts and Telecommunications. The match was contested by Shan United and Yangon United at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. The match will play on 21 September 2019 and was the final match of the Bogyoke Aung San Cup.

The 2020 MFF Charity Cup is the 9th Charity Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous National League and Domestic Cup competitions. It was held at YUSC Stadium on 5 January 2020. The match was played between Shan United, champions of the 2019 Myanmar National League and Yangon United, champions of the 2019 General Aung San Shield.
