Abstract

"Best Video of the Year" is determined by public voting. It's announced with two special awards (BALLISTIK BOYZ and Foorin) at the ceremony. King Gnu won the Best Video of the year, it's only 8 months from their major debut, it's the fastest in the history of MTV VMAJ. While Foorin is the youngest artist of the winners at the ceremony. Exile is a 19-member Japanese boy band. The leader of the group is Hiro, who debuted as a member of Zoo under For Life Music, but Exile have released their singles and albums under Avex Group's label Rhythm Zone. Hinatazaka46 is a Japanese idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. Established as Hiragana Keyakizaka46 on November 30, 2015, as a subgroup of Keyakizaka46, the group has since been renamed and expanded three times to 22 members. The group's name is adopted from Hyūgazaka Street in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo, following the custom of naming groups after hills in the Sakamichi Series. The captain of the group is Kumi Sasaki and fans of the group are known as Ohisama (おひさま).

Ballistik Boyz from Exile Tribe is a seven-member Japanese male dance, vocal and MC unit formed and managed by LDH. The group is part of the collective Exile Tribe, related to Exile, and signed to the record label Rhythm Zone from the Avex Group.

Official Hige Dandism, commonly abbreviated Higedan (ヒゲダン), is a Japanese pop band formed in Shimane, Japan in 2012 by Satoshi Fujihara, Daisuke Ozasa, Makoto Narazaki and Masaki Matsuura. The "Higedan" in the band name roughly translates to "bearded man" in English. The 'Hige' translates to 'moustache/beard', and 'Dan' translates to 'man.'
