The 2020 Gran Trittico Lombardo was a one-day road cycling race held on 3 August 2020. The race was rated as a 1.Pro event on the 2020 UCI ProSeries. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the race was created through the merging of the three races that usually make up the Trittico Lombardo. The race started in Legnano and finished in Varese on a 199.7 kilometer course. [1] The race was won solo in heavy rain by the Spaniard Gorka Izagirre of the Astana team. [2]
Seven UCI WorldTeams, seven UCI ProTeams, six UCI Continental teams and the Italian national team made up the 21 teams that participated in the race. Of the 146 riders that started the race, only 52 finished. [3]

The Coppa Bernocchi is a European bicycle race held in Legnano, Italy. From 2005 to 2019, the race was organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, before joining the UCI ProSeries in 2020.
Gorka Izagirre Insausti is a Spanish professional cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam Cofidis. He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Ion Izagirre.
Ion Izagirre Insausti is a Spanish professional road bicycle racer and cyclo-cross rider from the Basque Country, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Cofidis. He is sometimes referred to as Jon Izaguirre, to retain the correct pronunciation under Castilian orthography.
Jhoan Esteban Chaves Rubio is a Colombian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam EF Education–EasyPost. Born in Bogotá, Chaves has competed as a professional since the start of the 2012 season, having signed for the Colombia–Coldeportes team as a neo-pro, after three seasons as an amateur with the Colombia es Pasión–Coldeportes team. Chaves is a two-time grand tour podium finisher, and a monument winner.
Tsgabu Gebremaryam Grmay is an Tigrayan-Ethiopian retired professional road cyclist from Tigray, who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team Jayco–AlUla. He is a three time national road race champion, six time national time trial champion, and one time African time trial champion. Tsgabu became the first Ethiopian professional cyclist when he joined MTN–Qhubeka in 2012. In 2013 Tsgabu became the first Ethiopian to win an international cycling event when he won the fifth stage of the Tour de Taiwan. He made his UCI World Tour debut at the 2013 Giro di Lombardia.
The 2015 Il Lombardia was a one-day cycling classic that took place around Lake Como in Lombardy in northern Italy on 4 October 2015. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was postponed from mid-February to late May. As a result, the race reverted to the one-day nature it had previously held before 2019.
