The 2021 AFC Women's Club Championship (also known as the AFC Women's Club Championship 2021 Pilot Tournament (West)) [1] was the second edition of AFC's premier women's club football competition, held between 7 and 13 November. [2] [3] Four clubs from four associations competed. [4]

Initially, an East Zone tournament including teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Taiwan, was also announced. In late July, it was announced that due to COVID-19 restrictions, there was no interest from the clubs in the East to host the tournament, [3] and it was subsequently cancelled.

Format

Teams played in a single round-robin.

Tiebreakers

Teams were ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria were applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings:

  1. Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  2. Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  3. Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  4. If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams are still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams;
  5. Goal difference in all group matches;
  6. Goals scored in all group matches;
  7. Penalty shoot-out if only two teams are tied and they met in the last round of the group;
  8. Disciplinary points (yellow card = 1 point, red card as a result of two yellow cards = 3 points, direct red card = 3 points, yellow card followed by direct red card = 4 points);
  9. Drawing of lots.

The 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup was the 19th edition of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-17 national teams of Asia. This edition was the first since 2006 to be played as an under-17 tournament, as the AFC proposed to switch the tournament from under-16 to under-17 starting from 2023. The 2021 AFC Cup group stage was played from 14 May to 24 August 2021. A total of 38 teams should have competed in the group stage to decide the 12 places in the knockout stage of the 2021 AFC Cup.

The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification was an international men's under-23 football competition which decided the participating teams of the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.

The 2024 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualification is a women's under-20 football competition that will determine the participating teams in the 2024 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup final tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 2004 are eligible to participate.

The 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualification was an international men's under-20 football competition which was held to decide the participating teams of the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup. It was held as under-20 tournament for the first time after rebranding by AFC.

The 2023 SAFF U-20 Women's Championship was the 4th edition of the SAFF U-18/19/20 Women's Championship, an international football competition for women's under–20 national teams organized by SAFF. The tournament were played from 3–9 February 2023 in Bangladesh.

The 2023 SAFF U-16 Championship was the 8th edition of the SAFF U-16 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-17 national teams organized by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Its was held from 2–10 September 2023 in Thimphu, Bhutan.
