The 2021 Carlow Senior Hurling Championship was the 92nd staging of the Carlow Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Carlow County Board in 1927. The championship began on 6 August 2021 and ended on 19 September 2021. [1]

Mount Leinster Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions. [2]

The final was played on 19 September 2021 at Netwatch Cullen Park, between Mount Leinster Rangers and St Mullin's, in what was their first ever meeting in a final in two years. Mount Leinster Rangers won the match by 0–24 to 0–16 to claim their 10th championship title overall and a second title in succession. [3]

They defeated Mount Leinster Rangers to go on to the semi-final of the Leinster championship against Birr of Offaly.

St Mullin's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located on the banks of the river Barrow beneath the Blackstairs mountains in St Mullin's, County Carlow, Ireland. The club, founded in 1914, primarily involves hurling.

The 2015 Carlow Senior Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the Carlow Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Carlow County Board in 1887. The championship began on 11 July 2015 and ended on 18 October 2015.

The Joe McDonagh Cup is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The cup forms the second-tier of Hurling for senior county teams. It is contested by the six county teams ranked 12–17 in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. It was the first club championship to be completed in two years as the 2020–21 Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 27 November 2021 and ended on 12 February 2022.
