Mount Leinster Rangers GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Borris, County Carlow, Ireland. The club was founded in 1987 and fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling.

History

Mount Leinster Rangers GAA club was founded in 1987 and the amalgamation of three existing club teams—Borris, Ballymurphy and Rathanna—within the parish was completed in 1988.

On 1 December 2013, Mount Leinster Rangers won their first ever Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship title after an 0–11 to 0–8 win against Oulart the Ballagh in the final. [1] [2] [3]

Tom Mullally managed the club's hurling team to that Leinster title and to the final of the 2013–14 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship. [4] [5]

The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Club Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the second highest inter-county club hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year since the 2004-05 championship.

Oulart–The Ballagh is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Wexford, Ireland. The club takes its players primarily from the area around the villages of Oulart and The Ballagh. The club has won the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship on 13 occasions, most recently in 2016. Their main rivals are Buffers Alley. Former hurlers, associated with the club, include former Wexford manager Liam Dunne and current Oulart–The Ballagh senior manager Martin Storey.

Clara GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the small parish of Clara in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Focused mainly on hurling and camogie, the dominant sports in the county, Clara's greatest achievements to date are victories in the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship in 1986 2013, and in 2015 they secured their third title.

The 2021–22 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 51st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament. It was the first club championship to be completed in two years as the 2020–21 Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 27 November 2021 and ended on 12 February 2022.

The Carlow county hurling team represents Carlow in hurling and is governed by Carlow GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the Joe McDonagh Cup and the National Hurling League.

Tom Mullally is a hurling coach who has been manager of Carlow since January 2021.

Kevin McDonald is an Irish hurler who plays for Carlow Senior Championship club Mount Leinster Rangers and at inter-county level with the Carlow senior hurling team. He has lined out in both defence and as a forward.
