The 2021 European U23 Wrestling Championships was the 6th edition of European U23 Wrestling Championships of combined events, and took place from May 17 to 23 in Skopje, North Macedonia. [1]

The North Macedonia national under-21 football team is a youth association football national team which represents North Macedonia at this age level and is a feeder team for the North Macedonia national football team. It was formerly known as the Macedonia national under-21 football team.
The Macedonian Handball Federation commonly known by its acronym, RFM, is the national governing body of handball in North Macedonia. Its headquarters are in Skopje and it reestablish its membership as a single Republic of the EHF and IHF in 1993. Macedonian Handball Federation is responsible for the organization and governance of handball's major local championships in the country and also runs the Macedonian Men's and Women's national teams.
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling. Since 2014 associated traditional wrestling styles recognized globally by UWW were incorporated into the annual championships schedule.
North Macedonia competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's seventh consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics and the first under the country's new name.
The North Macedonia men's national under-18 basketball team is the national junior basketball team that represents North Macedonia in international under-18 tournaments. The team is controlled by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia, and competes at the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B.
The North Macedonia national under-16 basketball team is the national junior basketball team that represents North Macedonia in international under-16 tournaments. The team is controlled by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia, and competes at the FIBA U16 European Championship, mostly in Division B.
Anastasia Nichita is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler. In 2020, at the European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy, she won the gold medal in the women's 59 kg event. She also represented Moldova at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Solomiia Vynnyk is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. In 2020, at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy, she won the silver medal in the women's 55 kg event. In the final, she lost against Olga Khoroshavtseva of Russia.
Anhelina Lysak is a freestyle wrestler. She represented Ukraine until 2020 and she represents Poland as of April 2021. She is a two-time medalist at the European Wrestling Championships.
Razmik Papikyan is an Armenian freestyle wrestler and mixed martial artist who competes in the flyweight division. In 2021, European vice-champion in the 61 kg held in North Macedonia, Skopje. In 2020, Bronze medalist Individual World Cup. In 2016, he won the silver medal in the 46 kg event at the U18 European Wrestling Championships held in Stockholm, Sweden. 5-time winner of the country's freestyle wrestling championships.
Irina Rîngaci Ilie is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler. In 2021, she won the gold medal in the women's 65 kg event at both the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway and the 2021 European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw, Poland. She is the first female wrestler representing Moldova to win a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships.
Tetiana Rizhko is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. She is a silver medalist at the European Wrestling Championships.
