World Judo Championships Judo competition

The World Judo Championships are the highest level of international judo competition, along with the Olympic judo competition. The championships are held once every year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. Team competitions have also been held since 1994. The men's championships began in 1956, though the format and periodicity of the championships have changed over time. The last edition of the championships took place in Budapest, Hungary in 2021.

Peter Paltchik is a Ukrainian-born Israeli judoka, competing in the under 100 kg weight category, of which he is the current number 1 ranked Judoka in the world. In September 2019 he won the Israeli championship in the 100+ Kg category. Paltchik won the gold medal at the 2020 European Judo Championships in Prague on November 21, 2020, beating Russian judoka Arman Adamian in the final, Adding to his bronze medal from the 2018 European Judo Championships in Tel Aviv. Paltchik also won a bronze medal in the mixed team judo competition in the 2021 Olympics.

Akira Sone is a Japanese judoka. Sone's favorite techniques are Tai Otoshi, Ouchi Gari She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in mixed team, and gold medal in Women's +78 kg

Israel national judo team National judo team

The Israel national judo team consists of the men's team coached by Olympic medalist Oren Smadja and the women's team coached by Shany Hershko(he).

The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 21 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Junior Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Olbia, Italy in 2021.

2018 World Judo Juniors Championships Judo competition

The 2018 World Judo Juniors Championships was held between 17 and 21 September 2018 at the Imperial Ballroom in Nassau, The Bahamas.

The 2014 World Judo Juniors Championships was held between 22 and 25 October 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, United States.

The European Junior Judo Championships are annual judo competitions organized by the European Judo Union for European judoka aged 21 and younger.

The World Judo Cadets Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 18 years of age or less. 2021 World Judo Juniors Championships Judo competition

The 2021 World Judo Juniors Championships will be held between 6 and 10 October 2021 in Olbia, Italy. On its last day, the contest will feature the 2021 World Juniors Mixed Team Championships.

The 2021 European Junior Mixed Team Judo Championships was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg on 12 September as part of the 2021 European Junior Judo Championships.

2022 World Judo Championships Judo competition

The 2022 World Judo Championships will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 6 to 13 October 2022, concluding with the mixed team event on its final day.
