The 2022 Iranian Super Cup was the 8th Iranian Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Persian Gulf Pro League, Esteghlal, and the previous season's Hazfi Cup, Nassaji. It was played on 2 November 2022 at the Shahid Bahonar Stadium, Kerman. [3]

The season featured 13 teams from the 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup and three new teams promoted from the 2013–14 Azadegan League: Padideh as champions, Naft Masjed Soleyman and Paykan. The league started on 1 August and ended on 15 May 2015. Sepahan won the Pro League title for the fifth time in their history.

The 2014–15 Azadegan League was the 24th season of the Azadegan League and 14th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 16 teams from the 2013–14 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup and four new teams promoted from the 2013–14 2nd Division. Tarbiat Yazd replaced Yazd Louleh. The league started on 4 October 2014 and ended on 22 April 2015. Foolad Novin won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. The 2016–17 Azadegan League was the 26th season of the Azadegan League and 16th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 12 teams from the 2015–16 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2015–16 Persian Gulf Pro League: Malavan, Rah Ahan and Esteghlal Ahvaz and three new teams promoted from the 2015–16 League 2: Oxin Alborz and Sepidrood Rasht both as champions and Pars Jonoubi Jam. Baadraan Tehran replaced Parseh Tehran. The league started on 7 August 2016 and ended on 1 May 2017. Pars Jonoubi Jam won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Pars Jonoubi Jam and Sepidrood Rasht promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League. Mohammad Abbaszadeh, from Nassaji Mazandaran, was the top scorer with 24 goals.

The 2018 Iranian Super Cup was the 4th Iranian Super Cup, scheduled to be played on July 20, 2018, between the 2017–18 Persian Gulf Pro League champions Persepolis and the 2017–18 Hazfi Cup champions Esteghlal. The result of match awarded 3-0 in favor of Persepolis, because of Esteghlal match withdrawal.

The 2019–20 Hazfi Cup was the 33rd season of the Iranian football knockout competition. The competition began in August 2019 and the final was played on September 3, 2020, which Tractor won for their 2nd title.
