The 2023 African Beach Games is the 2nd edition of the international beach sports competition between the nations of Africa, organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). The games were held in Hammamet, Tunisia in June 2023. [1] [2]
A total of 1100 athletes from 53 nations competed in 30 events across 16 sports.

The Morocco national football team, nicknamed "the Atlas Lions", represents Morocco in men's international football competitions. It is controlled by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, also known as FRMF. The team's colours are red and green. The team is a member of both FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Hammadi Agrebi Olympic Stadium or Radès Olympic Stadium, opened as 7th November Stadium and called the Mediterranean Pearl, is a multi-purpose stadium located in the sports city of Radès, located in Radès, in the southern suburb of the city Tunis. The Hammadi Agrebi Olympic Stadium was established in 2001 to host the 2001 Mediterranean Games.

The 11th African Games took place from September 4–19, 2015 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. This edition marked the 50th anniversary of the Games, as well as their return to Brazzaville, which hosted the first edition in 1965.

The 2015 CAF Beach Soccer Championship, also known as the 2015 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, was a beach soccer tournament which took place in Roche Caiman, Seychelles on 14–19 April 2015. This was the first time that the CAF Beach Soccer Championship was held in Seychelles. All matches were played at the Roche Caiman Sports Complex.

Tunisia have participated in the African Cup of Nations 21 times and hold the record for the number of consecutive participations with 16 between 1994 and 2021. First participation in 1962, it took third place by defeating Uganda with a score of 3–0, only 4 countries participated in this edition. In 1965 edition, Tunisia were allowed to stage the competition and reached the final and lost the title to Ghana 2–3 after extra time.
