2023 Arab Basketball Championship for Men National Teams was the 25th edition of the Arab Basketball Championship, a men's basketball regional championship of Arab world . The tournament was hosted by Egypt for the 11th time and featured 9 teams. [1] [2]
The Arab Confederation of Basketball proceeded to a reorganization of the program of the 25th edition of the Arab Nations Championship, to be held from 26 December 2023 to 3 January 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.
11 Teams entered the game, on first but Jordan and Lebanon withdrew from the tournament. [3] [4]

Based on the number of overall medals won, Syria is a major force among basketball teams of WABA and ABC. The team has won eight medals at the WABA Championship and five at the Arab Basketball Championship.

The club team section has been based in Cairo since 1932. Al Ahly volleyball team can be considered the greatest team in Africa and the Middle East. It has played in the Egyptian Volleyball League without interruption since 1957. Al Ahly is the most titled club in the Egyptian Volleyball league with 33 titles. Also, the team has participated in African Clubs Championship since 1980 and achieved the title 15 times.
