2022 Arab Basketball Championship for Men National Teams was the 24th edition of the Arab Basketball Championship, a men's basketball regional championship of Arab world that ended with Lebanon being crowned winner. The tournament was hosted by UAE for the first time and featured 16 teams.
The Arab Confederation of basketball proceeded Saturday 6/02/2022 to a reorganization of the program of the 24th edition of the Arab Nations Championship, to be held from 8 to 16 February in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), following the defection of Syria

The United Arab Emirates national football team represents United Arab Emirates in international football and serves under the auspices of the country's Football Association.
The Lebanon national football team, controlled by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), have represented Lebanon in association football since their inception in 1933. The squad is governed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) continentally, and FIFA worldwide. While Lebanon have yet to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, they have qualified three times to the AFC Asian Cup: they first participated in 2000, when they hosted the event. Lebanon's main venue is the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut; however they also play in other locations such as the Saida Municipal Stadium in Sidon.
The Lebanon men's national basketball team, controlled by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB), has represented Lebanon in basketball since its inception in 1947. The squad is governed by FIBA, and is part of the FIBA Asia zone.
Syria national basketball team, nicknamed Nosour Qasioun , represents Syria in international basketball competitions. The squad is governed by SBF, and is part of the FIBA Asia zone. Based on the number of overall medals won, Syria is a major force among basketball teams of WABA and ABC. The team has won eight medals at the WABA Championship and five at the Arab Basketball Championship.
The Arab Club Champions Cup is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and contested by top-division clubs from the Arab world. The 2022 Arab Cup U-20 is an international youth football tournament held in Saudi Arabia from 20 July to 6 August 2022. The 18 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 2002 are eligible to participate.
