The 2023 Deutschland Cup was the 34th edition of the tournament, held between 8 and 12 November 2023. [1] For the first time, a women's tournament was held as well. [2]

The 2018 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was the 5th IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I competition, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Division I competition took place from 24 to 29 March 2018 at the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Four teams competed in the tournament. Originally, six teams were scheduled to compete. However, Oman and Qatar were scheduled to compete, but cancelled. Indonesia made its debut in the Challenge Cup of Asia. The host nation Malaysia won its first Division I tournament, winning all five of its games, defeating Macau in the final and promoted to Top Division for the 2019 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia.

The 2018 Deutschland Cup was the 29th edition of the tournament.

The 2019 Deutschland Cup was the 30th edition of the tournament, held between 7 and 10 November 2019.

The 2020 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship Division II consisted of two tiered groups of six teams each: the fourth-tier Division II A and the fifth-tier Division II B. For each tier's tournament, the team which placed first was promoted to the next highest division, while the team which placed last was relegated to a lower division.

Qualification for the women's tournament at the 2022 Winter Olympics was determined by the IIHF World Ranking following the 2020 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships. The host along with the top six teams in the world ranking received automatic berths into the Olympics, while all other teams had an opportunity to qualify for the remaining three spots in the Olympics.

The women's tournament in ice hockey at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held in Beijing, China between 3 and 17 February 2022. Ten countries qualified for the tournament; six of them did so automatically by virtue of their ranking by the International Ice Hockey Federation, one, China, automatically qualified as hosts, while the three others took part in a qualification tournament.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 IIHF World U18 Championships</span> 2022 edition of the IIHF World U18 Championships

The 2022 IIHF World U18 Championship was the 23rd such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2023 competition. On 28 February the IIHF "suspended all Russian and Belarusian National Teams and Clubs from participation in every age category and in all IIHF competitions or events until further notice", which resulted in a reformatting of the tournament. Due to the suspensions there are two open spots in the top division, two teams can be promoted for 2023 and no team will be relegated. Additionally, all eight teams will qualify for the QF round and will be reseeded according to their tournament ranking.

The 2022 IIHF U18 World Championship Division III was two international under-18 ice hockey tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Division III A and Division III B tournaments represent the sixth and the seventh tier of the IIHF World U18 Championship.

The 2022–23 Euro Hockey Tour was the third season of the Euro Hockey Tour (EHT) since the tournament season format was revised and expanded in 2018. It followed the 2019–20 Women's Euro Hockey Tour, as the 2020–21 and 2021–22 instances of the international ice hockey tournament season were not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
