The 2023 New South Wales Rugby League Presidents Cup was be a competition to determine the best semi-professional Rugby League team in New South Wales. It was be the fourth season of the competition. The winners of each conference will play a 2-week knockout series to determine the Presidents Cup winners.

The 2023 Peter McDonald Premiership will feature a merged competition between the former Group 10 and Group 11 competitions. The competition format will be two conferences, with the top 4 from each conference qualifying for an 8 team finals series. The winner of each conference will win the Group 10 and Group 11 Premierships.
Newcastle were a rugby league team who played in the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership from 1908–1909, one of the nine foundation clubs. After the formation of several clubs in January 1908, members of the NSWRFL came to Newcastle to hold talks with the local footballing community at a meeting on 8 February 1908. However, at this meeting the motion to have a public meeting was lost. The local rugby union fraternity threatened sanctions and further recruitment occurred in secret. Finally a band of Rebel Pioneers assembled and signed up on 10 April, just days before the start of the competition.

The 2022 Canberra Raiders Cup will consist of 18 regular season rounds that will begin on 2 April and end on 27 August. There will be 3 playoff rounds, beginning on 3 September with the first semi-final, and ending on 18 September with the Grand Final.

The 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup will be the 25th season of the cup, the top division Rugby League club competition in Canberra. The 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup will consist of 18 regular season rounds that will begin on 15 April and end on 26 August. There will be 3 playoff rounds, beginning on 2 September with the first semi-final, and ending on 17 September with the Grand Final.
The New South Wales Rugby League will administer several Major Competitions during the 2024 season. This will include five men's competitions, two women's competitions and an under 21s competition.
