The Uhrencup is a club football tournament, held annually in Grenchen and Biel in Switzerland. The Uhrencup is seen as a testament to the major influence that is exercised by the local watchmaking industry on the cultural lives of the area's residents. The tournament usually features four teams, each playing two matches, and is held in July as a friendly tournament, the format of which tends to be fluid. For the teams taking part, the tournament is a welcome opportunity to prepare for the upcoming football season.
The 2011–12 Copa del Rey was the 110th staging of the Copa del Rey. The competition began on 31 August 2011 and ended on 25 May 2012 with the final, which was held at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid. Entering the competition, the winners were assured of a place in the group stage of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. Real Madrid were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Barcelona in the quarter-finals, who went on to win the title.
Sara Mérida Pérez is a Spanish retired footballer who last played for RCD Espanyol. Debuting as a teenager with Espanyol, she won the Copa de la Reina twice and the Copa Catalunya once. As a youth international with Spain she won the U-17 Euro and came third at the U-17 World Cup in 2010. Despite youth success, she retired age 21 after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament four times, and became a physiotherapist and coach. She is currently the head coach of women's team CE Europa B.
The 2012 Copa de la Reina de Fútbol was the 30th edition of the Spanish women's football national cup. It took place between 8 and 10 June in RFEF's Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, and it was contested following the end of the 2011–12 Primera División as a final four by the top four teams in the table, a major cut from the previous edition's fourteen contestants. On April 8, defending champion Barcelona became the first team to qualify for the competition. Athletic Club and Espanyol also qualified in subsequent weeks, and Rayo Vallecano clinched the last spot by earning a 1–1 draw against contender Levante in the final date.
The 2013 Segunda División play-offs took place in June 2013. The Segunda División promotion phase was the second phase of 2012–13 Segunda División and was to determine the third team which promoted to 2013–14 La Liga. The composition of the nine groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 21 February 2019, 13:30 CET (UTC+1), at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. with the teams seeded according to their coefficient ranking.
