Hüsler became the fourth Swiss man, after Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and Marc Rosset, to win an ATP Tour title in the 21st century.

Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–3, 7–64, 7–65 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Australian Open. It was his record-extending tenth Australian Open title and 22nd major title overall, tying Rafael Nadal's all-time record total of men's singles titles. He also became the second man to win ten titles at a single major, after Nadal at the French Open. It was his 93rd ATP Tour-level singles title, surpassing Nadal's tally for the fourth-most such titles. Djokovic lost just one set en route to the title (in the second round to Enzo Couacaud), and extended his match winning-streak at the Australian Open to an Open Era record 28 matches (he did not participate the previous year due to being deported from the country for being unvaccinated for COVID-19).
Andrey Rublev defeated Holger Rune in the final, 5–7, 6–2, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title. 19-year-old Rune became the first teenager to reach the Monte-Carlo Masters final since Rafael Nadal in 2006.
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. It was his fourth Masters 1000 title. Struff was the first lucky loser to reach a Masters final.
