The 2023 Vuelta a Murcia was the 43rd edition of the Vuelta a Murcia road cycling race. It was held on 11 February 2023 in the titular region of southeastern Spain as a category 1.1 event on the 2023 UCI Europe Tour calendar.
Twelve UCI WorldTeams, eight UCI ProTeams, and one UCI Continental teams made up the twenty-one teams that participated in the race. Of the 146 riders to start the race, 107 finished. [1]

Íñigo Cuesta López de Castro is a Spanish former professional road bicycle racer, who now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Continental Team Burgos Alimenta Women Cycling Sport.
Luis León Sánchez Gil is a Spanish road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Astana Qazaqstan Team. Sánchez's major achievements include winning the overall classifications of the 2009 Paris–Nice and the 2005 Tour Down Under, as well as the one-day race Clásica de San Sebastián in 2010 and 2012. He also has four Tour de France stage victories and is a four-time winner of the Spanish National Time Trial Championships. He is a time trial specialist and has improved his climbing skills over the course of his career.
Caja Rural–Seguros RGA is a UCI ProTeam cycling team sponsored principally by Grupo Caja Rural, a Spanish banking group. The team participates in UCI Europe Tour races and UCI World Tour events when given a wildcard invitation. The team's administrative offices and management are based in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain, but its service course is in Alsasua, Navarra. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was postponed from mid-February to late May. As a result, the race reverted to the one-day nature it had previously held before 2019.
