<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vehicle-ramming attack</span> Form of attack in which a perpetrator rams vehicle into people or structures

A vehicle-ramming attack, also known as a vehicle as a weapon or VAW attack, is an assault in which a perpetrator deliberately rams a vehicle into a building, people, or another vehicle. According to Stratfor Global Intelligence analysts, this attack represents a relatively new militant tactic that could prove more difficult to prevent than suicide bombings.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kaffrine bus crash</span> 2023 bus crash in central Senegal

On 8 January 2023, 40 people were killed and 101 injured in central Senegal when two buses collided in Gniby near the regional capital of Kaffrine on the N1 national road.

Up to 63 migrants are believed to have died in an incident off Cape Verde involving a pirogue which had voyaged from Senegal departing on 10 July. 38 persons from the boat were rescued on 14 August 2023 and taken to the island of Sal, Cape Verde.
