The 2024 Basadi in Music Awards will take place on August 10, 2024, at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein, Johannesburg to celebrate and honour women's in South African music industry. It will be hosted for the second time by actress Unathi Nkayi. [1]

The nominees were announced on May 27. [2] Tyla received the most the nominations with 5, followed Lwah Ndlunkulu and DJ Zinhle with four each. [3]

David Scott, also known by his stage name the Kiffness, is a South African musician, producer, and parody artist who is the founder and lead singer of the band the Kiffness. Despite the band's name, Scott is referred to as the Kiffness alone.

Born and raised in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, Mdoda obtained a degree in Politics and International Relations at the University of Pretoria. Her career then began at the age of 20 in 2004 as a radio DJ.

The 2022 Basadi in Music Awards is the first edition of Basadi in Music Awards. The ceremony took place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand on October 15, 2022 hosted by Anele Zondo and Moozlie streamed live on YouTube and Instagram.

Lwandile Mtshali, professionally known as Lwah Ndlunkulu or Lwah The Ndlunkulu is a South African singer and songwriter. Born and raised Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, having signed a record deal with Nkabi Records released her debut single "Ithuba", which became her first biggest song and certified Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

"Soft Life" is a song by South African singer Nomfundo Moh, taken from her debut studio album Amagama (2022). The song was certified 3× Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

Ntokozo Mbambo is a South African singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Umlazi, Mbambo professional music career began as a member and lead singer of the gospel group Joyous Celebration at the age of 15.
