Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers head coach Chris Ryan [1] was assisted by coaches Ryan O'Hagan, [2] Matthew Dugan, [3] and Kevin Murphy. Ben Ward, Kyle Cullen, Jackson Phillips, and Caden Cote served as team captains.
Defenseman Mitchell Dunham earned USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American honorable mention [4] and MAAC Co-Preseason Player of the Year honors, [5] after being named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Although the Mount lost their season opener to Navy, attackman Brody Atkinson earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors. [6]

Paul Harrington Hewitt is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach at Georgia Institute of Technology and George Mason University. He grew up in Westbury, New York. Randy Mearns is a former lacrosse player and the current head coach of the St. Bonaventure Bonnies men’s lacrosse team. After a 9-year career in the National Lacrosse League, Mearns became the head coach of the Canisius Golden Griffins men’s lacrosse team, where he would coach for 19 seasons before leaving in 2017 to coach for the newly created lacrosse program at St. Bonaventure.

The head coach was Bill Self, who was serving his 8th year. The team played its home games in Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas and are members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 35–3, 14–2 in Big 12 play to claim the regular season conference title. They were also champions of the 2011 Big 12 men's basketball tournament. They earned a #1 seed in the Southwest Region in the 2011 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, where they defeated Boston University in the second round and Illinois in the third round to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. They defeated Richmond to advance to the Elite Eight where they were upset by VCU.
Jamion Christian is an American basketball coach, who is head coach for Pallacanestro Trieste in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). In the United States, he was most recently the head coach of the George Washington Colonials men's basketball team. He previously was the head coach at Siena and Mount St. Mary's.
The 2015–16 Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Butler University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Chris Holtmann, serving his second year. The Bulldogs played their home games at Hinkle Fieldhouse, which has a capacity of approximately 9,100. This was Butler's third season in the Big East Conference. They finished the season 22–11, 10–8 in Big East play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament to Providence. The Bulldogs received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Texas Tech in the first round to advance to the second round where they lost to Virginia.
Kellen Dunham is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana All-Americans of The Basketball League (TBL). He played college basketball for the Butler Bulldogs. At Pendleton Heights High School in Pendleton, Indiana, Dunham led the state of Indiana in scoring as a senior with 29.5 points per game and was named Herald Bulletin Player of the Year. Dunham committed to Butler on July 7, 2010, and was highly regarded by recruiting services. As a freshman, he was a 2012–13 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection. He scored 16.4 points per game as a sophomore and was named to the 2013–14 All-Big East Second-team. He was a 2014–15 All-Big East First-team selection as a junior.
The 2018–19 Marist Red Foxes men's basketball team represented Marist College in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team played its home games in Poughkeepsie, New York for the 42nd consecutive year at the McCann Arena, which has a capacity of 3,200. This season marked the program's 38th Division I season and its 22nd consecutive year as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The team was led by first-year head coach John Dunne, who took the open head coaching position after spending the last 12 seasons at conference rival Saint Peter's University. They finished the 2018–19 season 12–19 overall, 7–11 in MAAC play to finish in eighth place. As the No. 8 seed in the 2019 MAAC tournament, they were defeated by No. 9 seed Saint Peter's in the first round 68–71 in overtime.
