The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Of its current 11 full members, 10 are located in three states of the northeastern United States: Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. The other member is in Maryland.

The Rider Broncs are the athletic teams of Rider University, a private nonsectarian university in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, United States. The school is a Division I member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and its athletes compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). For wrestling only, Rider is an affiliate member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
The Monmouth Hawks refer to the 23 sports teams representing Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The Hawks compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Colonial Athletic Association, joining on July 1, 2022. The football team became an FCS Independent for the 2013 season, and moved to the Big South Conference on July 1, 2014. The women's bowling program was a charter member of the Southland Bowling League, a single-sport conference formed in January 2015, but moved that sport to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference after the 2017–18 season.

The team participates in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), having joined in 2014. From 1998 until 2013, the team was a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). The Bobcats are currently led by head coach Hillary Smith. The team plays its home games at Quinnipiac Softball Field, which is located on the college's campus.

Kelly Babstock is a Canadian-American ice hockey player who currently plays with the Metropolitan Riveters of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She has Ojibwe roots and is originally from Little Current on Manitoulin Island, part of the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Babstock played collegiate ice hockey with the Quinnipiac Bobcats and, as of September 2021, remains the top point scorer in the program’s history. In the National Women's Hockey League, she played with the Connecticut Whale from 2015–2018 and with the Buffalo Beauts during the 2018–19 season. In the Whale's inaugural game on October 15, 2015, she became the first Canadian-born player to score a goal in a NWHL regular season game.
The 2017–18 Quinnipiac Bobcats men's basketball team represented Quinnipiac University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by first-year head coach Baker Dunleavy, played their home games at TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Connecticut as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 12–21 overall, 7–11 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for seventh place. As the No. 7 seed at the MAAC tournament, they defeated No. 10 seed Siena and upset No. 2 seed Canisius to advance to the semifinals where they lost to No. 6 seed Fairfield.
Kevin Marfo is an American professional basketball player for Fortitudo Agrigento in Italy's Serie A2 league. He played college basketball at several universities, including Quinnipiac, George Washington and Texas A&M. He was the NCAA Division I season rebounds leader in 2019–20.
