2024 Women's Softball World Cup Group C

Group C of the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will take place from 22 to 26 July 2023 in Castions di Strada and Buttrio, Italy. [1] The group consists of host nation Italy, Japan, Canada, Venezuela, New Zealand and Philippines. Japan and Canada advanced to the Finals to be held in 2024. Italy also advanced to the Finals as host/wildcard.

The United States national baseball team, also known as Team USA represents the United States in international-level baseball competitions. The team is currently ranked 2nd in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The United States has won many international tournaments, many of which are now discontinued. World Baseball Softball Confederation is the world governing body for the sports of baseball, softball, and Baseball5. It was established in 2013 by the merger of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and International Softball Federation (ISF), the former world governing bodies for baseball and softball, respectively. Under WBSC's organizational structure, IBAF and ISF now serve as the Baseball Division and Softball Division of WBSC. Each division is governed by an executive committee, while the WBSC is governed by an executive board.

The 2018 Women's Softball World Championship was an international softball competition held in Chiba, Japan, from 2 August to 12 August. It was the 16th edition of the tournament, and the third edition to be sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). Previous editions were sanctioned by the International Softball Federation, which governed the sport until its 2013 merger with the International Baseball Federation to create the WBSC. As the winners, the United States earned the right to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was the last world title awarded under the championship format before the WBSC implemented the new world cup 4 year cycle.

Six national teams qualified to compete in baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. As host, Japan automatically qualified. Israel also qualified, by winning the Africa/Europe Qualifying Event in September 2019.

Six teams qualified for the Olympic softball tournament, including Japan, which, as host nation, qualified automatically. The United States team won the 2018 Women's Softball World Championship to qualify for the Olympics. The remaining four spots were allocated through three qualification tournaments: one spot for a Europe/Africa tournament, one spot for an Asia/Oceania tournament, and two spots for an Americas tournament.

The 2020 U-23 Baseball World Cup, officially III U-23 Baseball World Cup, is the third edition of the U-23 Baseball World Cup tournament, fourth since the tournament's inception in 2014 as the 21U Baseball World Cup. Originally scheduled to take place in 2020, the event was postponed to 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is held from September 23 to October 2, in Ciudad Obregón and Hermosillo, Mexico, with 12 teams participating.

The Baseball5 World Cup is a mixed-gender Baseball5 (B5) world championship that occurs every two years, with the first edition held in 2022 in Mexico and contested by 12 countries. It is governed by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).

The 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup, officially IV U-23 Baseball World Cup, is the fourth edition of the U-23 Baseball World Cup tournament. It was held in Taipei, Taichung, and Yunlin in Taiwan. Players born between 1999 and 2004 are eligible to play the tournament.

The 2022 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship was the 17th Men's Softball World Championship, an international softball tournament taking place in Auckland, New Zealand from 26 November to 4 December 2022. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand last hosted the tournament in 2013. It will be the 17th edition of the tournament.

The 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will be the 18th Women's Softball World Cup, an international softball tournament taking place in Balbriggan, Ireland; Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy and Valencia, Spain. The group stage will take place from 11–26 July 2023, held as three separate groups across three nations. The finals will take place in Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy from 15–21 July 2024. This is the first WBSC event to be held in two stages. It will be the first time Ireland, Italy and Spain have hosted a major softball tournament. It also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. The United States are the defending champions.

The group stage will take place from 8-13 August 2023 as two separate tournaments in two separate locations. The finals will take place in Thunder Bay, Canada in 2024. This is the first Women's Baseball World Cup event to be held in two stages. It will be the third time Canada have hosted the tournament. It is also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. Japan are the defending champions.

The 2023 U-23 WBSC Men's Softball World Cup is the inaugural U-23 Men's Softball World Cup, an international softball tournament taking place in Paraná, Argentina from 15 to 23 April 2023. Originally scheduled for October 2022, the tournament was postponed due to a number of reasons. The bidding process was reopened and once again awarded to Paraná in Argentina.

The 2023 Women's Softball Asia Cup is an international softball tournament which featured nine nations and is held from 2–8 April 2023 in Incheon, South Korea. Matches held at the Songdo LNG Baseball Stadium.

Group A of the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will take place from 11 to 15 July 2023 in Balbriggan, Republic of Ireland. The group consists of host nation Ireland, Chinese Taipei, United States, Great Britain, Australia and Botswana. The United States and Australia advanced to the Finals to be held in 2024, with the United States going undefeated winning all four of their games.

Group B of the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will take place from 18 to 22 July 2023 in Valencia, Spain. The group consists of host nation Spain, China, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Netherlands and South Africa.

Group A of the 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup will take place from 8 to 13 August 2023 in Thunder Bay, Canada. The group consists of host nation Canada, United States, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Mexico.

Group B of the 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup will take place from 13 to 18 September 2023 in Miyoshi, Japan. The group consists of host nation Japan, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico and France.
