202 (Midlands) Multi-Role Medical Regiment is an Army Reserve unit of the Royal Army Medical Service within the British Army.
The hospital was formed upon the formation of the TAVR in 1967, from the amalgamation of 147th (South Midland) Field Ambulance, and 22nd (Birmingham) Field Dressing Station, as the 202 (Midland) General Hospital. [2] During the Cold War, the hospital was under the command of the 143rd (West Midlands) Infantry Brigade, however upon transfer to war, it would re-subordinate to Commander Medical 1 (BR) Corps, and provide 800 beds with support from the Warwickshire Volunteer Band. [3] During the reforms implemented after the Cold War, the hospital was re-designated as 202 (Midlands) Field Hospital. As a consequence of Army 2020, the unit now falls under 2nd Medical Brigade, and is paired with 22 Field Hospital. [4]
Under the Future Soldier programme, the hospital was renamed as the 202nd (Midlands) Multi-Role Medical Regiment and now falls under the 2nd Medical Group. [5] [6]

The South Staffordshire Regiment was a line infantry regiment of the British Army in existence for only 68 years. The regiment was created in 1881 under the Childers Reforms by the amalgamation of the 38th Regiment of Foot and the 80th Regiment of Foot. The regiment saw service in the Second Boer War, World War I and World War II.
The Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia) is the most senior regiment of the British Army Reserve. The regiment was formed in 1539 during the reign of by King Henry VIII. The R Mon RE (M) became a militia unit in 1660 and then became a part of the Royal Engineers in 1877.

56th (Cornwall) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery was a volunteer air defence regiment of Britain's Territorial Army (TA). Originally raised in 1920 as a medium artillery regiment, it was converted to the anti-aircraft role in 1932. During the Second World War, it was employed in Home Defence, in Iceland and then in India, where it was temporarily converted back to medium artillery. Postwar, it reverted to air defence until disbandment in 1955.
The Staffordshire Rangers was a volunteer unit of the British Army from the 'Potteries' area around Stoke-on-Trent. It fought on the Western Front in World War I as the 5th Battalion of the North Staffordshire Regiment. In World War II it served as a Royal Artillery searchlight regiment in Home Defence and was the first complete searchlight unit to land in North-Western Europe after the D-Day landings of 6 June 1944. Its successors continue to serve in the Army Reserve as part of the Mercian Regiment.

Future Soldier is a reform of the British Army resulting from the Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy published in March 2021. The aim of the reform is to create a more lethal, agile and expeditionary force, able to fight and win wars and to operate in the grey-zone between peace and war. Future Soldier was published on 25 November 2021 and deals with the organizational changes of the British Army, with changes to personnel and equipment were set out in the Defence in a Competitive Age paper published on 22 March 2021.
