241st Battalion (Canadian Scottish Borderers), CEF

The 241st (Canadian Scottish Borderers) Battalion, CEF was a unit in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War. Based in Windsor, Ontario, the unit began recruiting in the spring of 1916 in Essex County. After sailing to England in May 1917, the battalion was absorbed into the 5th and 12th Reserve Battalions in June, 1917. The 241st (Canadian Scottish Borderers) Battalion, CEF had one Officer Commanding: Lieut-Col. W. L. McGregor.

The Lake Superior Scottish Regiment is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Forces. The regiment is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is part of the 3rd Canadian Division's 38 Canadian Brigade Group. Also known as the "Lake Sups", the regiment was active during the First and Second World Wars. During the latter, the regiment, then known as The Lake Superior Regiment (Motor) or LSR(M), mobilized a motorized infantry battalion for the 4th Canadian (Armoured) Division.

The 18th Battalion, CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the Great War. The battalion was authorized on 7 November 1914 and embarked for Great Britain on 18 April 1915. It disembarked in France on 15 September 1915, where it fought as part of the 4th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division in France and Flanders until the end of the war. The battalion was disbanded on 15 September 1920.

99th Battalion (Essex), CEF

The 99th Battalion (Essex), CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Great War Canadian Expeditionary Force. The 99th Battalion was authorized on 22 December 1915 and embarked for Great Britain on 31 May 1916, where, on 6 July 1916, its personnel were absorbed by the 35th Reserve Battalion, CEF to provide reinforcements to the Canadian Corps in the field. The battalion disbanded on 1 September 1917.
