P-Square are a Nigerian music duo composed of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, who co-write and co-produce most of their songs. They were integral to the evolution of the 2000s and 2010s African popular music. Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam, known mononymously as Akon, is a Senegalese-American singer-songwriter, record producer, businessman, and philanthropist. An influential figure in modern world music, he rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of his debut single "Locked Up". Styled in hip hop, it preceded the release of his debut studio album Trouble (2004), which became his commercial breakthrough and spawned the R&B-styled follow-up, "Lonely" the following year.
"I Wanna Love You" is a song written and recorded by American singer Akon featuring American rapper Snoop Dogg. It was released in October 2006 as the second single from his second studio album, Konvicted. It is also featured on Snoop Dogg's eighth album, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. This song was Akon's first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also Snoop's second #1 on the same chart. It also reached a peak of #3 on the UK Singles Chart. The track originally had Akon as a featured artist and was performed by rapper Plies from Fort Myers, Florida, but his verse was replaced by Snoop's and his name has been left out from the writers' credits. This song was #88 on MTV Asia's list of Top 100 Hits of 2007. The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 50th Grammy Awards in 2008.
KonLive Distribution was a record label founded by R&B singer Akon in 2007. Launched as a joint venture between Jimmy Iovine's Interscope Records, the label was to allow both parties to manage the career and recording catalogue of singer Lady Gaga. Other notable acts signed to the label included Kardinal Offishall, Colby O'Donis, Brick & Lace, Mali Music, Natalia Kills, Jeffree Star, R. City, Ya Boy, and Verse Simmonds.
"Don't Matter" is a reggae fusion–R&B song by American singer Akon from his second studio album, Konvicted (2006). The song was released as the album's third single in January 2007. In April of that year, it became Akon's second U.S. number-one single. "Don't Matter" was ranked number 31 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. Super Saucy is the fourth solo studio album by American hip hop recording artist Baby Bash. It was released on March 15, 2005, through Universal Records. Roderick Anthony Burton II better known by his stage name Dolla, was an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Burton embarked on his music career in 2003, with hip hop group Da Razkalz Cru, under the pseudonym Bucklyte. The group quickly disbanded, and Burton went on to work as a model for the Sean John clothing line. In 2007, Burton signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label. Burton released three singles from 2007 to 2009. The first, his commercial debut single "Who the Fuck Is That?", featuring T-Pain and Tay Dizm, charted on the Billboard Hot 100.
Colby O'Donis Colón is an American singer. He is best known for his guest feature on Lady Gaga's 2008 single "Just Dance", which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100, spent over eleven months on the chart, and received diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Due to label conflicts, Senegalese-American singer Akon was unable to perform on the song and subsequently enlisted O'Donis to do so; O'Donis was Lady Gaga's labelmate on Akon's KonLive Distribution label, to which he signed the year prior.
William Joseph Crawford, known by his stage name Ya Boy, is an American rapper from the Fillmore District of San Francisco, California. He is best known for his 2011 single "Lock Down". The year prior, he signed with the latter's record label, Konvict Muzik, having first signed with San Quinn's Done Deal Entertainment to release his debut studio album, Rookie of the Year (2005). The following year, he signed with the Game's Black Wall Street Records, and later Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin' Records in 2009, releasing no albums with both labels.
JQT was a four-member South Korean girl group under GP Entertainment. The 'J' in the group's name comes from the common letter in each of the members' names, while the 'QT' stands for 'Quality' and 'Quartet'. Three of the four members are from the disbanded group i-13, a girl group that was considered the female equivalent of Super Junior. The group originally debuted in 2009 with Min Jung, Ga Jin, Ji Eun and Min Sun. In September 2011, it was announced that Min Sun would be leaving the group to focus on a career in acting. She was replaced by Lee Jin Kyung, who was previously a trainee at GP Entertainment. On February 20, 2012, it was announced that JQT's contracts with GP Entertainment expired and would not be renewed; henceforth, they disbanded.

Kortney Jamaal Pollard, known professionally as Mali Music, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Savannah, Georgia. His first two studio albums, The Coming (2008) and The 2econd Coming (2009) were released independently through ByStorm Records and met with critical acclaim. In 2011, he was the first inspirational artist to be part of BET's "Music Matters" series. He signed with RCA Records to release his first major-label single "Beautiful" the following year, which preceded his third album and major label debut, Mali Is... (2014). The album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Nailah Thorbourne, better known by her stage name Nyla, is a Jamaican singer from Kingston. Nyla was a member of the R&B and reggae duo Brick & Lace whose debut album, Love Is Wicked, was released by Geffen and KonLive in 2007 and featured the chart topping single "Love Is Wicked". She is best known for being featured on Major Lazer's "Light It Up". Today she writes and performs as a solo artist and is currently recording and releasing music with some of the biggest chart topping artists and producers.
Dwayne Domonick Grant, known as D-Teck, is an American hip hop recording artist, record producer, songwriter, rapper, and label owner. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica and was raised in the Bronx, New York. He has worked with and produced the likes of Common Kings, Akon, Cara Braia, IamStylezMusic, Richie Loop, JQT, DJ Pain 1 and most recently serves as CEO of Wazzup Media Group.
Melvin Brown is an American music manager and President/CEO of Melvin Brown Music Group (MBMG). Brown also operates partnerships as CO-Founder/CO-CEO of Konvict Muzik along with superstar singer Akon. In addition, Brown serves as co-owner of S&B Creative.
