The 2nd Missouri Light Artillery Regiment was an artillery regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
Organized at St. Louis, Mo., as 1st Regiment, Missouri Artillery, U. S. Reserve Corps, September 16 to November 6, 1861. Designation changed to 2nd Missouri Artillery November 20, 1861, and assigned to duty in forts about St. Louis till September, 1863. Consolidated to a Battalion of 5 Companies September 29, 1863. Landgraeber's Battery, Horse Artillery, assigned as Company "F," September 30, 1863. Companies "C" and "D" form new Company "A." Company "B" retained its organization. Companies "I" and "H" form new Company "C." Companies "A," "F," "G" and "K" form new Company "D." Companies "E," "L" and "M" form new Company "E." Six new Batteries organized as follows: "G" at St. Louis November 15, 1863. "H" at Springfield, Mo., December 4, 1863. "I" at Springfield, Mo., December 29, 1863. "K" at Springfield, Mo., January 14, 1864. "L" at Sedalia, Mo., January 20, 1864 (formerly 1st Battery, Missouri State Militia), "M" at St. Louis February 15, 1864. Battery I, 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment, also known as Buel's Independent Missouri Battery, was an artillery battery that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Organized in July 1861, Buell's Independent Battery fought at Shiloh and in the Corinth siege. After its name changed to Battery I, 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment in August 1862, it fought at Corinth, in operations supporting Streight's Raid, at Resaca, and at Rome Cross Roads before being assigned to the Nashville garrison. It fought at the Battle of Nashville and was mustered out in June 1865.
Battery L, 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment was an artillery battery unit from Missouri that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The original Battery L was formed 1 September 1861 but was disbanded in January 1862. The long-term service Battery L was created in October 1862 by reassigning Battery A, Schofield's Light Artillery. Battery L fought at the battles of Prairie Grove and Van Buren in December 1862. Thereafter, the battery performed guard duty at different locations in Missouri, with a foray into Arkansas. The unit was mustered out on 20 July 1865.

The battery participated in operations in December 1861. Battery F fought at the battles of Prairie Grove and Van Buren in December 1862. The battery fought at Vicksburg, Brownsville, Mustang Island, and Fort Esperanza in 1863. The unit fought at Spanish Fort, and Fort Blakely in 1865. Battery F was mustered out on 11 August 1865.
Battery K, 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment was an artillery battery unit from Missouri that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment was formed 1 September 1861. Battery K fought at Fort Henry, Fort Donelson, Shiloh, 1st Corinth, and 2nd Corinth in 1862. The unit was in action at Helena and Bayou Fourche in 1863. Battery K performed garrison and occupation duty at Little Rock, Arkansas in 1863–1865 before being mustered out on 4 August 1865.
