9th Mission Support Command activated the 303rd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade at Fort Shafter Flats, Hawaii, on 22 January 2011. [1]

Fort Shafter is in Honolulu CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawai‘i, extending up the interfluve (ridgeline) between Kalihi and Moanalua valleys, as well as onto the coastal plain at Māpunapuna. Fort Shafter is the headquarters of the United States Army Pacific, commanding most Army forces in the Asia-Pacific region with the exception of Korea. A portion of the area is also known as the Palm Circle Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been further designated as a U.S. National Historic Landmark. It is also known as Palm Circle or 100 Area. Palm Circle covers an underground command center.

504th Military Intelligence Brigade brigade of the United States Army

The 504th Military Intelligence Brigade is located at Fort Hood, Texas. The 504th MIB was transformed from the 504th Military Intelligence Brigade in late 2007 becoming one of three active duty Surveillance Brigades of the United States Army. The brigade is tasked to improve the situational awareness for commanders at division level or higher, so they can adapt their units combat power for the current operations. For this the Military Intelligence Brigades can deploy unmanned aerial vehicles, signals gathering equipment, human intelligence collectors and long range surveillance patrols. In 2015, the brigade returned to its original name and mission as the 504th Military Intelligence Brigade supporting III Corps with its intelligence needs.

The 9th Field Artillery Regiment is a field artillery regiment of the United States Army first formed in 1916. The regiment served in Hawaii during World War I, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 9th Divisions between the world wars, and with 3rd Infantry Division during World War II and Korea. Since 1957, the regiment has been a parent regiment under the Combat Arms Regimental System and the U.S. Army Regimental System, with regimental elements serving with the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 25th, 79th, 83rd, and 96th Infantry Divisions and various field artillery brigades and groups. The 303rd Military Intelligence Battalion is the U.S. Army’s most decorated MI battalion, and is part of the 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade located at Fort Hood, Texas. The mission of the 303rd Military Intelligence Battalion, "Longhorns," is to, on order, conduct multi-disciplined intelligence collection, exploitation, and limited analysis operations in support of the commander's information requirements during worldwide contingency missions within assigned areas of a Division, Corps, or Joint Task Force area of operations.
