30Y is a Hungarian alternative rock band based in Pécs, Hungary. The band has played hundreds of gigs mainly in Hungary. The band is now[ when? ] one of the most important alternative rock acts in Hungary.
Although the band members were born in different parts of Hungary, namely Ajka, Békéscsaba, Celldömölk, Devecser and Szigetvár), 30Y was formed in Pécs by the Beck brothers (László and Zoltán), Gradvolt, Sárközi and Varga. They chose the name 30Y, which was a bus service in Pécs. In the early years, they played with other Hungarian bands such as Anima Sound System, Heaven Street Seven, Kispál és a Borz and Quimby.
In 2007, 30Y hired Dávid Schram as record producer and Zoltán Takács and László Philipp as music engineers to record a full-length studio album entitled Semmi Szédítő Magasság. The album was recorded at the Abnormal Studios in Budapest so the band rented a flat in the capital. [1]
In 2008, the band's fourth record, No.4, was released by CLS Records. [2]
On 16 June 2008, 30Y played in the Big Hall in Serbia. [3]
In 2010, 30Y's fifth record, Városember, was released by Megadó Kiadó. [4]
In 2012, 30Y recorded their sixth full-length studio album, Szentimentálé. It was released by Drum & Monkey Records. [5]

Beatrice is a Hungarian rock band. It was founded in 1969 as a women's band, and played mostly cover songs. In 1971, Nagy Feró joined the band as a frontman. In the following years, the members were gradually replaced, and from 1974 they began to write their own songs in the then popular glam rock style. In order to get a record deal the band became oriented towards disco music from 1976.
Hungarian rock has been a part of the popular music of Hungary since the early 1960s. The first major bands were Illés, Metró and Omega. At the time, rock was not approved of by the Hungarian Communist authorities. In the 1970s, the Communists cracked down on rock, and Illés was banned from recording. Some members of the other bands formed a supergroup called Locomotiv GT, while the band Omega became very popular in Germany.
The Idoru is a post-hardcore band from Budapest, Hungary. It was formed in 2003 by ex-members of the Hungarian hard-core and metalcore band Newborn. The original line-up consisted of Tibor Szalkai (guitars), Gábor Nagy (guitars), Mátyás Mohácsi (bass), Denis Valach (drums) and András Bödecs (vocals). However, three of the original members left the band in 2009.

Superbutt has toured all across Europe since 2001 and played over 600 concerts in 15 countries.
Sear Bliss is a Hungarian atmospheric black metal band from Szombathely, formed in 1993 by bassist, vocalist and now also keyboardist András Nagy. Apart from the usual heavy metal instruments they adopted synthesizer and wind instruments in their songs. The Netherlands' leading metal magazine, Aardschok awarded Sear Bliss debut album Phantoms the title of "CD Of The Month". It was the first time in the magazine's history that the award went to a black metal album.
The Summer Set is an American pop rock band from Scottsdale, Arizona. The band consists of lead vocalist Brian Logan Dales, guitarist John Gomez, bass guitarist Stephen Gomez, and drummer Jess Bowen. The Summer Set was signed to The Militia Group in 2008, Razor & Tie from 2009 to 2011, and to Fearless Records from 2012 to 2017. The Summer Set released four full-length studio albums: Love Like This (2009), Everything's Fine (2011), Legendary (2013), and Stories for Monday (2016). The band toured with numerous musical acts, including the Cab, We Are the In Crowd, Mayday Parade, Sleeping with Sirens, All Time Low, the Downtown Fiction, and Action Item. Kispál és a Borz are a Hungarian alternative rock band founded in 1987 in Pécs by András Lovasi, András Kispál, Rezső Ózdi and Gábor Bräutigam. They disbanded on 9 August 2010 after a large-scale concert at the Sziget Festival. The band reformed in 2022. They are regarded as one of the most influential alternative bands in Hungary.

Dawnstar are an indie-rock band from Budapest, Hungary. The band's original line-up includes the songwriter Attila Wind (vocals/guitars), Bálint Hamvas (bass), and Viktor Albert (drums). The sound of the band is generally a mix of flanging and light distorted guitars, throbbing bass, and enchanting keyboard melodies. Dawnstar represents a mixture of mid-1960s psychedelic, late 1970s goth, mid-1980s grunge and 1990s indie rock of the Budapest indie music scene.
Európa Kiadó is a Hungarian underground rock band formed in 1981 in Budapest from the members of the then freshly disbanded URH: László Kiss, András Salamon and lyricist-composer-guitarist-singer Jenő Menyhárt, joined by József Dénes and András Gerő. Soon keyboardist Gerő and drummer Salamon parted, and got replaced by János Másik and Péter Magyar. Európa Kiadó was, and is on the verge of breaking up all through its lifetime with many pauses and farewell concerts, the first being in 1983, two years after its foundation. On releasing their first studio album, Popzene in 1987, Másik left the band for a while, Dönci, for religious reasons, for ever, to only return as cameo in later concerts; and on their 1989 album, Szavazz rám, Sziámi's János Gasner played the lead guitar. In 1990, not long before two of the founding members left the country for a longer period, Orsolya Varga became the permanent keyboardist, Péter Kirschner the guitarist, and the lineup remained unchanged until 2008, when Péter Magyar was appointed background percussionist, first accompanied by, then fully replaced by other drummers.
