The 31st Bachsas Awards were given by Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity (Bangladesh Cine-Journalists' Association) to outstanding performers of the silver screen, small screen, music, dance and theatre in 2009. Abdur Razzak (actor) Bangladeshi actor and film director

Abdur Razzak was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak, a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine Chitrali. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films Ki Je Kori (1976), Ashikkhito (1978), Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982), Chandranath (1984) and Jogajog (1988). He was awarded the Independence Day Award in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He acted in more than 300 Bengali and Urdu films and also directed 16 films. Kabori Bangladeshi actress

Sarah Begum Kabori was a Bangladeshi film actress and politician. Her notable films include Sutorang, Sareng Bou, Abhirbhab, Shat Bhai Champa, Sujon Sokhi and Lalon Fokir. She received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film Sareng Bou (1978) and Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.

An eleven-member Jury Board prepared a list of 15 films that could be awarded out of 17 films on January 4, 2010.

Swatta is a 2017 Bangladeshi romantic tragedy film. The film directed by Hashibur Reza Kallol and produced by Sohani Hossain under the banner of Taranga Entertainment. It is a story written by Sohani Hossain and screenplay and dialogue written by Ferdous Hassan. The film features Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam in the lead roles and Kabila, Nasrin, Rina Khan, Don and many have played supporting roles in the film.

The Bangladesh Cine-Journalist Association is an organization of film journalists. It was first established in the name of Pakistan Film Journalist Association in Dhaka in East Pakistan. After the independence of Bangladesh, it was renamed as Bangladesh Cine-Journalist Association. It was revived in 1973–74 with the introduction of the Bachsas Awards. Falguni Hamid, former director of Bangladesh Shishu Academy, is serving as the current president.

"Tor Premete" also known songs first stanza as "Tor Premete Ondho Holam" is a National Award-winning song from the 2017 Bangladeshi romantic-drama film Swatta sung by James. The song composed by Bappa Mazumder and choreographed by Masum Babul. The lyrics of the song written by Sohani Hossain, the producer and story writer of the film, and Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam performed in the song. The song was released on Deco's YouTube channel under the banner of Qinetic Network on March 30, 2017.
