The 4th award ceremony of Feroz Awards was held at the Palacete de los Duques de Pastrana in Madrid, on January 23, 2017. It was hosted by actor Antonio de la Torre and aired on #0. [1] [2] Awards recognizing television productions and documentary films were handed for the first time. [3]

The Feroz Awards are Spain-based film and television awards presented by the Asociación de Informadores Cinematográficos de España. They are considered the Spanish equivalent to the Golden Globe Awards, since they are part of the build-up to the Goya Awards, presented by the Spanish Film Academy. Created as film awards, the first edition took place in January 2014. Categories recognizing excellence in television were added for the 4th edition that took place in 2017.

Smoke & Mirrors is a 2016 Spanish thriller film directed by Alberto Rodríguez based on the 2006 non-fiction book Paesa, el espía de las mil caras by Manuel Cerdán. The film stars Eduard Fernández as Francisco Paesa, a former agent of the Spanish secret service who faked his own death after an infamous corruption scandal. The film premiered at the 64th San Sebastián International Film Festival, where it was awarded the Silver Shell for Best Actor for Eduard Fernández. It was also screened at the 2016 London Film Festival.
