A&C Mall evolved into a mixed use centre after the appointment of Broll Property Management in 2010. [3] The mall comprises retail, offices, services, and a university. It has 30,000 square metres of mixed used space with parking for over 500 cars. A&C Mall accommodates 63 businesses of which 50% are operated by Ghanaian businesses. A&C Mall is anchored by Maxmart a supermarket chain, Lancaster University a UK franchise and international NGOs.

The 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian and transit mall in Denver, Colorado that opened in 1982. The mall, 1.25 miles long, runs along 16th Street in downtown Denver, from Wewatta Street to the intersection of 16th Avenue and Broadway. The intricate granite stone sidewalks and streets were designed by architect I.M Pei to resemble the scale pattern of the western diamondback rattlesnake. It is home to over 300 stores, 50 restaurants, and the Denver Pavilions shopping mall. In April 2022, construction started on a $149-million multi-year rebuild of the 40-year-old infrastructure, expected to finish in late 2024.

With the closing of Northwest Plaza in St. Ann in 2010, Chesterfield Mall became the largest shopping mall in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The mall's stores are all currently closed, including its three anchor stores, the last having closed in November 2022. The entire mall closed permanently on August 31, 2024 for demolition and construction of a mixed-use development.
Sunnyvale Town Center was a two-level shopping mall located in Sunnyvale, California, USA. It opened in 1979 on the site of much of the city's downtown, and was anchored by Macy's, Montgomery Ward, and later, J.C. Penney. Target moved in when Montgomery Ward closed. By the early 2000s, the mall had failed financially and only the Target and Macy's stores remained open. Work on a mixed-use development to replace the mall was stalled by a legal dispute from 2009 to 2015, with most buildings incomplete, but resumed after the city reached an agreement with new developers in mid-2016. By the end of 2020, a multi-screen movie theater and a supermarket had been built and opened in addition to most of the residential buildings; as of January 2021, replacement plans were going forward for a group of lots including the site of Macy's, which closed in 2019. Much of the area has now been rebranded as CityLine Sunnyvale.
