Panathinaikos Athlitikos Omilos, also known simply as Panathinaikós[panˈaθinai̯ˈkos], is a major Greek multi-sport club based in the City of Athens. Panathinaikos is one of the most successful multi-sport club and one of the oldest clubs in Greece. The name "Panathinaikos" was inspired by the ancient work of Isocrates Panathenaicus, where the orator praise the Athenians for their democratic education and their military superiority, which use it for benefit of all Greeks.

Born in Jeseník, Czechoslovakia, he is a 2.10 m, 120 kg (265 lbs.) power forward and center. He was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2nd round of the 2006 NBA draft.
Georgios Georgiadis is a Greek former professional footballer, now a football coach. He made 61 appearances for the Greece national football team, and played for several Greek clubs including Panathinaikos FC and two spells at PAOK Thessaloniki FC. He was also signed by the English club Newcastle for a season. After retiring in 2008 he coached the Greece U21 side.

AEK had its finest moment with coach Stelios Prosalikas when they reached the Final-4 of the Cup Winners Cup in 2000. The 2011–12 Greek Football Cup was the 70th edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 57 clubs, ten less than in the last edition, were accepted to enter. The competition commenced on 9 November 2011 with the first round and concluded in April 2012 with the final between Olympiacos and Atromitos, with Olympiacos winning 2–1 after extra time. The delay of the start of the tournament was due to judicial decisions after the Koriopolis scandal.

The 2019–20 Greek betshop.gr Basket League was the 80th season of the Greek Basket League, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Greece. The season started in September 2019, and ended prematurely in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 21 May 2020, after a vote that was held between the league's 14 teams, Panathinaikos was crowned the Greek basketball league's champion for the season, marking the club's 38th Greek championship. The league's 14 teams also agreed that none of the teams would be relegated.
