Alfred Thomas "A.T." Frank (born October 5,1966) is an American politician and judge from Michigan currently serving as a judge of the 70th District Court in Saginaw County. [1] He previously served as a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives,representing parts of Saginaw and Bay counties. [2] Frank is also a former chairman of the State Tax Commission,an agency of state government responsible for the administration of property tax laws and which assists,advises,educates,and certifies assessing officers. [3]
Tuscola County is a county in the Thumb region of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census,the population was 53,323. The county seat is Caro. The county was created by Michigan Law on April 1,1840,from land in Sanilac County and attached to Saginaw County for administrative purposes. The Michigan Legislature passed an act on March 2,1850,that empowered the county residents to organize governmental functions.

The county was created by September 10,1822,and was fully organized on February 9,1835. The etymology of the county's name is uncertain. It may be derived from Sace-nong or Sak-e-nong,as the Sauk tribe is believed by some to have once lived there. Huron County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census,the population was 31,407. The county seat is Bad Axe. Huron County is at the northern tip of the Thumb,which is a sub region of Mid Michigan. It is a peninsula,bordered by Saginaw Bay to the west and Lake Huron to the north and east,and has over 90 miles (140 km) of shoreline,from White Rock on Lake Huron to Sebewaing on the Saginaw Bay. Huron County's most prominent industry is agriculture,as with most of the other Thumb counties. Huron County enjoys seasonal tourism from large cities such as Detroit,Flint,and Saginaw. Much of the tourism is in the Port Austin and Caseville area.

Cooley Law School (Cooley) is a private law school in Lansing,Michigan,and Riverview,Florida. It was established in 1972. At its peak in 2010,Cooley had over 3,900 students and was the largest US law school by enrollment;as of the Spring of 2022,Cooley had approximately 500 students between its two campuses. In November 2020,Western Michigan University's board of trustees voted to end its affiliation with Cooley,which began in 2014,with disassociation effective November 5,2023. As of 2023,Cooley has failed to reach the 75% two year bar passage required of ABA Standard 316 for continued accreditation.

A member of the Republican Party for most of his Congressional tenure,he left the party in December 2020,three weeks prior to his departure from Congress,and became an independent. In July 2019,Mitchell announced that he would not run for re-election in 2020 to spend more time with his family.
Michigan's 32nd Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 32nd district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution,as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Republican Jon Bumstead since 2023,succeeding fellow Republican Kenneth Horn.
