AEL Sistemas S.A. is a Brazilian-based defence electronics company. The company is a subsidiary of Elbit Systems with 25 percent acquired by the Embraer's defense division. [1] AEL operates in the areas of fixed and rotary wings, unmanned vehicles, homeland security, armored vehicles, communication systems, contracted of logistics support, space systems and simulators.

AEL Sistemas participates of the transfer of technology program of Gripen NG, and will supply its avionics with innovative features such as a "wide area display" (WAD), a panoramic 19 by 8 inches touchscreen display similar to Lockheed F-35 panoramic cockpit display. [2] [3]

The company also developed the Link-BR2, a datalink with an advanced encrypted protocol and high degree of security, that allow the exchange of data such radar information, videos and images with other units of the three branches anytime and anywhere. Very few countries in the world developed this type of communication system. [4]

The Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 is a light business jet designed and produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The project was announced in November 2005. On 26 July 2007, the aircraft made its first flight. It was awarded a type certificate in December 2008, and the first example was delivered the same month. It has been stretched into the larger Embraer Phenom 300. The very light jet can transport four to seven passengers, and is powered by two rear-mounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PW600 turbofans. It has a range of 1,178 nmi (2,182 km) with four occupants. By the end of 2021, 392 had been delivered. The Phenom 100 was involved in a single fatal accident in December 2014.

The Link-BR2 is a Brazilian military datalink developed by the Brazilian Air Force and the defence company AEL Sistemas. The system entered in operation in December 2020, and was conceived in the early-2010s, by the necessity of Armed Forces of a communication system to the exchange of information between all military of the country.
