Kedah, also known by its honorific Darul Aman and historically as Queda, is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km2, and consists of a mainland portion and the Langkawi islands. The mainland has relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice, while Langkawi is composed of mostly of uninhabited islands.
Sheila on 7 is an alternative rock band from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. They have changed their lineup several times since their formation on 6 May 1996. Dayang Nurfaizah binti Awang Dowty is a Malaysian singer and actress. Her debut self-titled album was released in May 1999 and it was recorded in the pop and R&B genres. The album's lead single, Hakikat Cinta introduced her to the local music industry.
Anugerah Juara Lagu, commonly known by the acronym AJL, is a popular annual music competition in Malaysia, organised by TV3 since 1986. It features the best musical and lyrical compositions of each year it is held. Nominees are derived from a list of mostly Malay-language songs which have garnered the most public votes in Muzik Muzik throughout the year, and then progress into the semifinals, from which twelve songs will be nominated by a panel of judges to become the winner of Juara Lagu.
Siti Nurhaliza is the debut album by Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza released in 1996. This album is the debut of her after winning in a singing competition by RTM, Bintang HMI 1995, where she recorded in 1996. The album is self-titled, and composed almost entirely of pop and ballad genre with its famous debut single Jerat Percintaan which later won the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu in the same year and sold more than 50,000 copies. She won the title during her first entrance to Anugerah Juara Lagu by beating favourites at that time, Ziana Zain and Fauziah Latiff.
Jaclyn Joshua Thanaraj Victor is a Malaysian singer, actress and businesswoman who won the inaugural Malaysian Idol, Ikon Malaysia, Gegar Vaganza Season 9 & Gegar Vaganza All Stars. As the winner of Malaysian Idol, she won a recording contract with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. She represented Malaysia in the first Asian Idol and Ikon Asean. She has been dubbed "Asia's Divette" for her vocal prowess and a legend in Malaysia.
Estranged is a Malaysian alternative rock band that formed in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur in 2000. Currently comprising vocalist Rich Gimbang –who was known as a contestant in the 4th season of Akademi Fantasia–, lead guitarist Nor Hanafi and rhythm guitarist Din Hormatov, the band have released three full-length albums: In Hating Memory (2004), Remain Unknown (2008), Anugerah Hidup (2013) and an extended play (EP): Sepenuhnya Vol. 1 (2016). Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai, known professionally as Yuna, is a Malaysian singer. Her initial exposure came through the viral success of her music uploaded to Myspace, which received over one million plays. This online success alerted an indie-pop label/management company to her music, and in early 2011 she signed with the Fader Label. She is best known for her collaboration with Usher on her breakout single "Crush", which peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard Adult R&B chart. In 2010-2015, she is the 2nd Most Popular Female Singer in Malaysia which is Siti Nurhaliza at the first place and Stacy (singer) at the 3rd place.
Bunkface is a Malaysian rock band formed in 2006. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam (Shamsul Anuar), bass guitarist Youk (Farouk Jaafar), lead guitarist Paan (Ahmad Farhan), and drummer Biak (Alif Sufian). The name Bunkface was suggested by Biak which was influenced from the Sum 41 song titled "Crazy Amanda Bunkface". Popular songs by Bunkface include Silly Lily, Situasi, Revolusi, Prom Queen, Through My Window, Ekstravaganza, Panik, Rentak Laguku, Malam Ini Kita Punya, Darah Muda and Masih Di Sini. Their fanbase are called "Bunkers".

Malam Ini Kita Punya is the third studio album from Malaysian punk rock band, Bunkface. This album was released on 3 October 2014 at the Bee, Publika, Kuala Lumpur. The album contains seven Malay tracks, all of which were written by Sam. It is their first album produced by Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia following Bunkface signing to be under the recording company earlier in the year.
Mohammad Noh bin Salleh is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is best known as the frontman and principal songwriter of the rock band Hujan, who have released six studio albums. He has also recorded with his side project EP, "Angin Kencang" and "Debu Bercahaya" as a solo artist.
Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad or better known as Altimet is a Malaysian politician, composer, lyricist, actor and former singer who has served as Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lembah Jaya since August 2023. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was a former member of the Teh Tarik Crew group, which was active between 1999 and 2007.
