Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. It is played indoors with 96–115.5 cm-long (37.8–45.5 in) sticks and a 70–72 mm-diameter (2.76–2.83 in) plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development.
Swedish Super League is the highest league in the league system of Swedish floorball and comprises the top 14 Swedish floorball teams. The first season began in 1995–96. The season ends with a play-off and a final.
Balrog Botkyrka IK is a Swedish floorball team from Botkyrka, a suburb of Stockholm. Balrog is currently playing in the third tier floorball league in Sweden. They have previously played in the highest tier league - the Swedish Super League. They debuted in SSL in the 1990/91 season. Balrog won their first championships in 1993 and has after that won 2 more, in 1996 and 2004.
Täby FC is a Swedish floorball team from Täby, Stockholm. The club have played in the top Swedish floorball league, SSL, both on the men's and women's side. Their men's team have never won a championship but got to the final in 2006/07 where they lost to Warberg IC, and in 2009/2010 where they lost to Storvreta IBK. Their women's team won the championship in 2019.
Pixbo Wallenstam Innebandyklubb, also known as Redfox or Pixbo IBK, is a Swedish floorball club, based in Mölnlycke, Västra Götaland. It plays in the Swedish Super League. Pixbo IBK won the Swedish Championships in 2002 and 2003, the European Championship in 2004, and the Swedish Ligacup in 2008.
Jānis Jansons is a Latvian floorball player who is currently playing for Pixbo Wallenstam IBK in the SSL.
Mika Kohonen is a retired Finnish floorball player and nowadays a floorball coach. He currently coaches Storvreta IBK, a club in the Swedish Super League. He has also played for Balrog IK in SSL and Happee in Salibandyliiga. He also used be a part of Finland's national floorball team for many years both as a player and assistant coach.
The 2007–08 Men's EuroFloorball Cup Finals took place in Vantaa, Finland, from 9 to 13 January 2008. Allmänna Idrottsklubben Innebandyförening, better known simply as AIK, won the EuroFloorball Cup for the second year in a row after narrowly defeating Warberg IC 2–1 in sudden victory overtime.
FBC Kalmarsund, up to 2011 known as Färjestadens IBK, is a Swedish floorball team, from Färjestaden, Öland, that plays in the Swedish Division 1 South. In the 2007–08 season, they played in Swedish Super League, the highest league of Swedish floorball. They ended last and were relegated to Division 1 South for the 2008–2009 season. They now play in the Swedish Super League again.
The 2006–07 Men's EuroFloorball Cup Finals took place in Varberg, Sweden from 3 to 7 January 2007. Allmänna Idrottsklubben Innebandyförening, better known simply as AIK, won the EuroFloorball Cup after narrowly defeating Warberg IC 6–5.
The 1999 Men's EuroFloorball Cup Finals took place in Switzerland from December 27 to December 31, 1999. Warberg IC won the EuroFloorball Cup after defeating Haninge IBK 7-5.
The Champions Cup is floorball tournament organized by the International Floorball Federation for the best clubs from the top four countries according to IFF World Ranking. As of 2023, those are Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Switzerland, both for men and women. The tournament takes place every year in January both for men's and women's teams, that won in the previous season in their national leagues. Those are Finnish F-liiga, Swedish Svenska Superligan, Czech men's Superliga florbalu and women's Extraliga žen ve florbale and Swiss Unihockey Prime League. That means, there are eight teams in the tournament in total. Since 2024, winners of national cups will also attend. The competing countries alternate in hosting the tournament. The event lasts two days.
Peter Sjögren is a Swedish floorball player (goalkeeper) who is ranked as the best goalie in the world. Sjögren, who plays in Warbergs IC, won the Swedish Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He also won the World Cup in 2006.
Fredrik Djurling, born 1981 in Järfälla is a Swedish former floorball player, having played for AIK Innebandy and the national team of Sweden until his retirement in 2011. He grew up in Järfälla, Sweden and played for Järfälla IBK until April 2007 when he signed up for the Swedish team AIK Innebandy. He won the World Cup in 2006.

FC Helsingborg, commonly FCH, is a Swedish professional floorball team from Helsingborg. The current club was formed in 2003 by a merging between the floorball section of Högaborgs BK and Ramlösa IBK. In the spring of 2003 the club separated with Högaborg and formed the standalone club FC Helsingborg. The team acquired Högaborgs place in the Elitserien
Guldstaden IB was a floorball club in Skellefteå, Sweden. The men's team played 9 seasons in the Swedish top division, starting in 1989/1990. During the 1991/1992 season the team reached the Swedish national championship quarterfinals, losing to IBK Lockerud, and the upcoming season the same thing happened again, but against Balrog IK.
IBF Falun is a floorball club based in Falun, Sweden. Both the men's and women's teams play in the Svenska Superligan (SSL). The men's team won their first SSL gold in 2013 and proceeded to win in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020, 2021 and 2022 as well. During these successful years, IBF Falun men's team also won three straight Champions Cup golds.
Anna Wijk is a Swedish former floorball player. She was named by Innebandymagazinet as female floorball player of the year in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019, as well as the best female player of all time. She was part of the Swedish national team that won gold in the Women's Floorball World Championship in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019.
