Ferren "Coco" Lee was a Chinese-American singer and songwriter. She was raised in Hong Kong and the United States. Lee began her career in Hong Kong before expanding to Taiwan and internationally. She released 18 studio albums, two live albums, and five compilation albums.

George Lam Tsz-Cheung, also known professionally by his surname Lam, is a Hong Kong-based veteran Cantopop singer, singer-songwriter, music producer and actor, with a career that has so far lasted more than four decades. Lam produces most of his own albums, writes many of his own songs, occasionally writes for other artists, and covers other people's songs. Lam has a wide vocal range and is capable of interpreting and performing many different genres of music. He is heavily involved with planning and designing his concerts and his LP/CD covers. He was the one who came up with the first Cantopop rap, "Ah Lam's Diary", and he also pioneered the stringing together of multiple hit Cantopop songs to create a 10-minute long medley which is called "10 Minutes 12 Inches". In 2019, Lam interwove his songs together to put on a musical-like concert, Lamusical.

Tao Kwok Cheung is a Hong Kong philosophy professor. He was born in Huizhou, Guangdong, and moved to Hong Kong in 1959 at the age of four. He teaches General Education courses in the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a full-time professor since 1990 and retired in 2015 to be a part-time assistant professor. He founded the Philosophia Cultural Society (睿哲文化學會) with other University lecturers in 2001 and is also a council member of Society for Life and Death Education. He publishes articles in a special column "Philosophy in an array of stars" (繁星哲語]) in the Hong Kong Economic Journal and in Ming Pao.

It is now the primary classification in both research and education, although some genres contain different forms of performance and thus do not belong to a single category. Hong Kong Foundation Day, also known as Hong Kong Day (香港日) and Festival of Hong Kong (香港節), is the anniversary of the founding of Hong Kong as a free port when Britain formally colonised it on 26 January 1841 after entering into a provisional treaty, known as the Chuenpi Convention, with an official of Qing government. The British Colonial Government did not make it an official public holiday, nor does the SAR Government. Yet, some members of the public do organise various history talks or exhibitions on or near 26 January each year.
The British Consulate General Hong Kong is the sole governmental agency currently tasked with offering professional formal English-to-Cantonese name translation services to British officials. No similar services are offered by UK diplomatic missions within the Greater China area. It is a long tradition for the UK government to provide such uniform translation for certain cabinet members and other officials. This practice has its origin in the distasteful translation of the name of the 16th Colonial Governor of Hong Kong, and the UK government keeps this tradition alive even after the transfer of Hong Kong's sovereignty to China in 1997. The translation process is very refined, and there is a set of principles that they observe to avoid taboo, undesirable, or embarrassing translations as well as making the translated names more relatable, approachable, and agreeable to local Hong Kongers.

In 2008, he won the “Best Original Song” in the 45th Golden Horse Awards with the theme song for the movie "Cape No. 7 海角七號". In 2013, Jolin Tsai’s “The Great Artist 大藝術家", which he wrote the lyrics for, won the “Song of the Year” in the 24th Golden Melody Awards.
Revolution of Our Times is a 2021 Hong Kong documentary film directed by Kiwi Chow. With interviews and footage of the frontline protest scenes, the film covers the stories of the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests. The documentary takes its name from a locally well-known political slogan "liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times" which has been ruled as illegal by the Hong Kong High Court. The film had its debut in the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in France and is currently banned in China and Hong Kong.
