Atmospheric entry is the movement of an object from outer space into and through the gases of an atmosphere of a planet, dwarf planet, or natural satellite. There are two main types of atmospheric entry: uncontrolled entry, such as the entry of astronomical objects, space debris, or bolides; and controlled entry of a spacecraft capable of being navigated or following a predetermined course. Technologies and procedures allowing the controlled atmospheric entry, descent, and landing of spacecraft are collectively termed as EDL.
The U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School is the Air Force's advanced flight training school that trains experimental test pilots, flight test engineers, and flight test navigators to carry out tests and evaluations of new aerospace weapon systems and also other aircraft of the U.S. Air Force. This school was established on 9 September 1944 as the Flight Test Training Unit at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB) in Dayton, Ohio. To take advantage of the uncongested skies, usually superb flying weather, and the lack of developed zones in the event of crashing, the test pilot school was officially moved to its present location at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert of Southern California on 4 February 1951.
Turun Palloseura, commonly known as TPS, is a professional football club based in Turku, Finland. During the 2019 season, the men’s first team of the club competes in Ykkönen, the second highest tier of men’s football, and the women’s first team in Naisten Liiga, the highest level of women’s football in Finland. Nicknamed "Tepsi", the club was founded in 1922.
TPS or Turun Palloseura is an ice hockey team and 10-time champion of SM-liiga and 1-time champion of SM-sarja. They play in Turku, Finland, at the Gatorade Center. In terms of championships, TPS is the all-time most successful team in the 1975-founded SM-liiga alongside with Tappara which also has 10 titles.
The Jarmo Wasama memorial trophy is an ice hockey award given by the Finnish Liiga to the best rookie of the season. The trophy is named in honor of Jarmo Wasama, a young Finnish defenseman who was killed in an automobile accident in 1966. In 2019 it was awarded to Kaapo Kakko of TPS.
A throttle position sensor (TPS) is a sensor used to monitor the air intake of an engine. The sensor is usually located on the butterfly spindle/shaft so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle. More advanced forms of the sensor are also used, for example an extra closed throttle position sensor (CTPS) may be employed to indicate that the throttle is completely closed. Some engine control units (ECUs) also control the throttle position electronic throttle control (ETC) or "drive by wire" systems and if that is done the position sensor is used in a feedback loop to enable that control.
The AN/TPS-43 is a transportable air search 3D radar produced in the United States originally by Westinghouse Defense and Electronic Division, which was later purchased by Northrop-Grumman.
The AN/TPS-75 is a transportable passive electronically scanned array air search 3D radar produced in the United States. It was originally designated the TPS-43E2. Although the antenna is a radically new design from the TPS-43, the radar van itself, which houses the transmitter, receiver processors, and displays is very similar to the older TPS-43E2. It is produced in the United States originally by Westinghouse Defense and Electronic Division, which was later purchased by Northrop-Grumman.

Matti Keinonen is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Lukko, RU-38, HJK Helsinki, Jokerit, and TPS Turku. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987.

TPS won the Kanada-malja and Ilari Filppula from TPS won the Jari Kurri trophy. In the regular season, JYP finished atop the league, Jori Lehterä led the league in points and assists, and three players – Jukka Hentunen, Jonas Enlund, and Juhamatti Aaltonen – tied for the league lead in goals.
AN/TPS-58 Moving-Target-Locating Radar (MTLR) is a vehicle-mounted radar set used by the United States Army for general surveillance and artillery burst detection. The AN/TPS-58 weighs 3,500 pounds and utilizes a truncated parabolic reflector antenna. The accuracy of the AN/TPS-58 is 50m with a detection range 12 km for personnel or 20 km for vehicles.
Toronto Prep School (TPS) is a private school in Toronto, Ontario that was founded in 2009. Toronto Prep School is a Grade 7 through 12, coeducational, private, day school situated on an urban campus in the heart of Toronto near Mount Pleasant Road and Davisville Ave. The school is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The total enrollment for 2015-2016 was 300 students, Grades 7-12.

The 1997 Finnish Cup was the 43rd season of the main annual association football cup competition in Finland. It was organised as a single-elimination knock–out tournament and participation in the competition was voluntary. The final was held at the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki on 25 October 1997 with FC Haka defeating TPS by 2-1 (aet) before an attendance of 4,107 spectators.
Tommy Lindholm is a Finnish former footballer. He was the head coach of the Finland national football team from 1993 to 1994. He also coached TPS and HJK (1996).

AN/TPS-70 is a mobile S band phased array 3D radar produced by Westinghouse. It can track 500 targets, displaying target range, height, azimuth, Identification Friend/Foe (IFF) information from an altitude of 0 to 100,000 feet to a maximum range of 240 nautical miles. It is the successor of AN/TPS-43. The TPS-70 tactical radar provides reliability, sensitivity, and accuracy, even in the face of jamming and high-clutter conditions.
