The Arm DevSummit (previously DevCon [1] and Arm TechCon [2] ) is usually a three-day information technology conference held annually in October by Arm. The event is used to showcase new hardware, software and technologies using ARM processors. Arm DevSummit is also an event hosted for third-party software developers that work with ARM-powered devices.

Contents

The first ever DevCon was held in 2004.

Arm DevSummit was hosted as online-only conferences in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in 2022 went fully virtual. There was no event in 2023.

Arm DevSummit 2020 was held from October 5 to October 9, 2020 as an online-only conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [22]

The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is an information technology conference held annually by Apple Inc. The conference is usually held at Apple Park in California. The event is usually used to showcase new software and technologies in the macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS families as well as other Apple software; new hardware products are sometimes announced as well. WWDC is also an event hosted for third-party software developers that work on apps for iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple devices. Attendees can participate in hands-on labs with Apple engineers and attend in-depth sessions covering a wide variety of topics.

OpenMAX, often shortened as "OMX", is a non-proprietary and royalty-free cross-platform set of C-language programming interfaces. It provides abstractions for routines that are especially useful for processing of audio, video, and still images. It is intended for low power and embedded system devices that need to efficiently process large amounts of multimedia data in predictable ways, such as video codecs, graphics libraries, and other functions for video, image, audio, voice and speech.

BayCon is the San Francisco Bay Area's longest-running fan-run science fiction and fantasy convention. It was held over Memorial Day weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area, California but moved to July 4th, Independence Day. BayCon draws many attendees from throughout California and also as far away as Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. The most recent BayCon was held from Saturday, July 1, through Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in Santa Clara, California. The next BayCon is scheduled for July 4-7, 2024.
