History

AS Maniema Union was founded in 2005 [1] and they play at 10,000 capacity Stade Joseph Kabila Kabange. [2]

Maniema competed in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2008, 2018 and 2019.

In February 2019, Les Verts et Noirs, appointed Guy Lusadisu as manager. [3]

The season started on 16 August 2019., suspended on 16 March 2020 and abandoned on 13 May 2020 by the Congolese Association Football Federation due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in DR Congo.
