Associazione Sportiva Orizzonte Catania Waterpolo, also known as Ekipe Orizzonte for sponsorship reasons, is an Italian professional women's water polo club from Catania.
Founded in 1985, Orizzonte has dominated the Italian championship in the past two decades, winning every edition between 1992 and 2011 except for 2007, and is also the most successful team in the LEN Champions' Cup with eight titles between 1994 and 2008, including three in a row in the mid-2000s. Most recently it was the competition's runner-up in 2011. [1]

She is a leading goalscorer in Olympic water polo history, with 31 goals. In 2018, she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame and the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame.

The LEN Women's Champions League, formerly known as LEN European Cup, LEN Champions Cup and LEN Euroleague Women, is the premier competition for women's water polo clubs of Europe and takes place every year. It is organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN) and was created in 1987 as LEN European Cup.
The LEN Women's Euro Cup, formerly the Women's LEN Trophy, is LEN's second-tier competition for women's water polo clubs. It was first held in 2000 as the LEN Women's Cup Winners' Cup. It was contested for many seasons by around 15 teams, which could qualify for it either directly due to high ranking in their domestic league or by being eliminated at certain stages of the Champions' Cup. After the last reformations in the European competitions system by LEN, only four teams contesting for the trophy, coming after elimination at that season's LEN Euro League quarterfinals stage. Italy's Gifa Palermo, Ortigia, Racing Roma, Imperia, Russia's Shturm Ruza, and Greece's Ethnikos are the most successful clubs in the competition with two titles each.
