The ATX Pro Challenge was a preseason soccer tournament hosted by the Austin Aztex and held in Austin, Texas. The only tournament was won by D.C. United.

Austin Aztex defunct American professional soccer team

The Austin Aztex were a soccer team based in Austin, Texas, United States. Founded in 2011 as a member of the Premier Development League, the team played the 2015 season in the United Soccer League, the second tier of the United States soccer pyramid. This was the second team to carry the name Austin Aztex; the first were founded in 2008 and relocated to Orlando in 2010.

Long.

D.C. United American soccer team

D.C. United is an American professional soccer club based in Washington, D.C. The club competes as a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top level of professional American soccer. The franchise began play in 1996 as one of the ten charter clubs of the league. The club was one of the most successful clubs in the early years of MLS, winning eight of its thirteen titles between 1996 and 1998 under then head coach Bruce Arena. United holds the joint MLS record for most Supporters' Shields, has four MLS Cups, and been crowned U.S. Open Cup champions three times. It is also the first club to win both the MLS Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup consecutively.

The trophy received media attention for its unique character, being an armadillo donning a stetson hat, along with two pistol holsters. [1]

Armadillo family of mammals

Armadillos are New World placental mammals in the order Cingulata. The Chlamyphoridae and Dasypodidae are the only surviving families in the order, which is part of the superorder Xenarthra, along with the anteaters and sloths. Nine extinct genera and 21 extant species of armadillo have been described, some of which are distinguished by the number of bands on their armour. All species are native to the Americas, where they inhabit a variety of different environments.

Ramsey Park is located in the heart of the neighborhood, and has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, a basketball court, playgrounds, and picnic areas. There are over 1200 homes in the area, a variety of businesses within walking distance, and a network of medical services close by

The Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic is an annual preseason soccer tournament for clubs in North America. Hosted by Disney, it is contested at Hess Sports Fields' Field 17, part of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The tournament debuted with four teams in 2010 and is broadcast online by ESPN3.

2012 Carolina Challenge Cup

The 2012 Carolina Challenge Cup was the ninth staging of the Carolina Challenge Cup, a preseason soccer tournament hosted by USL Pro side, Charleston Battery. Held from February 25–March 3, the Cup featured three Major League Soccer clubs and one USL PRO club.

The Mobile Mini Sun Cup (formerly the Desert Cup and the Desert Diamond Cup, is a preseason soccer tournament hosted by Phoenix Rising FC of the USL Championship and FC Tucson of USL League One. The tournament is sponsored by Mobile Mini, a portable storage company.

The 2014 Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic was the fifth edition of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, a pre-season exhibition tournament held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The 2014 edition was reportedly set to feature a field of eight teams including 5 MLS teams, two international teams, and Orlando City. However, the schedule was released with 6 MLS teams, one international team, and Orlando City.

The Jubilee Trophy is the Canadian national championship for women's amateur soccer teams, first held in 1987. It is held concurrently to the national men's amateur Challenge Trophy.

The 2015 ATX Pro Challenge was the first edition of the preseason soccer tournament. The tournament was hosted by USL Pro side Austin Aztex with matches being played at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.

The 2015 Austin Aztex season is the club's fourth season of existence. The club is now playing in the USL, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. They were previously in the USL PDL the last 3 seasons, where they won the 2013 Championship, and the appeared in the Conference Finals in 2012 and 2014. The Austin Aztex will be competing in the Western conference and will be playing their first season in the newly dubbed USL. The season will begin March 21 and conclude on September 20.
