A Farewell to Arms (titled Engine in the US and Scandinavia) is the twelfth studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT, released in December 2010. The album is in stark contrast to the previous two TNT albums, being a very 1980s-melodic rock-oriented album.[ citation needed ]

Reception

Pre-release press has given the album high praise. Melodicrock.com, who had given the band's previous two releases highly negative reviews, said on a front page update "there's something a little different about this album. It rocks!"

Reception for the album has been generally well received. Hardrock Haven's Derrick Miller gave the album 8.9/10. Scream magazine gave a similar score.

He has been described as "one of the foremost purveyors of melodic metal", with Guitar World ranking him as one of the ten best guitarists in the world in 1989 and one of 25 influential cult guitarists in 2009. Le Tekrø resides in Nyhagen in Vestre Toten, where he also runs his own studio. He has released thirteen studio albums with TNT and six solo albums.

Guitarist Ronni Le Tekrø had suggested for the inclusion of several tracks from the 1992 album Realized Fantasies, however only the single "Downhill Racer" was included. No material was included from the band's most recent albums at the time, Firefly (1997) and Transistor (1999). The album was first rumoured to be on the heavy side of TNT, but came out in the end as a more straight forward pop rock album. It did not get as many positive reviews as My Religion but was still regarded as a fairly good TNT album. It also sold less than the previous album. The band toured Norway to support the release as well as shows in Sweden, the UK and in Spain where they recorded what became Live in Madrid before Tony Harnell left the band for professional and personal reasons. "Driving" has been played before several major car races in the USA.

The New Territory is the tenth studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT, and was released on 30 June 2007. It is their first album with Tony Mills on vocals.

The Snakes were a British-Norwegian hard rock band, formed by former Whitesnake members Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody in 1997. The line-up consisted of guitarists Marsden and Moody with Norwegian musicians, vocalist Jørn Lande, bassist Sid Ringsby, who later joined the Norwegian band TNT, and drummer Willy Bendiksen.
