A Gentle Reminder is the second full-length album from American indie rock band, The Jealous Sound. Released after a long hiatus, [1] the recording is the band's second full-length album and followed the 2003 debut album, Kill Them with Kindness . [2] [3]

Reissue

Following the band's move to the roster of Rise Records, an independent record label based in Portland, Oregon, United States (US), [4] a reissue of the album was released on February 5, 2013. The "Deluxe" version features "four previously unreleased songs, five new mixes, and a complete remaster", [5] and was produced in vinyl form (500 white-colored and 1000 blue-colored discs [6] ).

<i>Ramones</i> (album) 1976 studio album by the Ramones

Ramones is the debut studio album by American punk rock band Ramones, released on April 23, 1976 by Sire Records. After Hit Parader editor Lisa Robinson saw the band at a gig in New York City, she wrote about them in an article and contacted Danny Fields, insisting that he be their manager. Fields agreed and convinced Craig Leon to produce Ramones, and the band recorded a demo for prospective record labels. Leon persuaded Sire president Seymour Stein to listen to the band perform, and he later offered the band a recording contract. The Ramones began recording in January 1976, needing only seven days and $6,400 to record the album. They used similar sound-output techniques to those of the Beatles and used advanced production methods by Leon.

Skate punk is both a skater subculture and a subgenre of punk rock music. Originally a genre of hardcore punk closely associated with skate culture, skate punk changed into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s. Since the 1990s, skate punk has been a genre that features fast tempos, lead guitar playing, fast drumming, and singing. Featuring the fast tempos of hardcore punk and melodic hardcore, skate punk occasionally combines these with the catchy hooks of pop punk. Skate videos have traditionally featured this fast style of punk rock. This played a big part in the coining of the term "skate punk".

Yeah Yeah Yeahs American indie rock band

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The group is composed of vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase. They are complemented in live performances by second guitarist David Pajo, who joined as a touring member in 2009 and replaced Imaad Wasif, who had previously held the role. According to an interview that aired during ABC's Live from Central Park SummerStage series, the band's name was taken from modern New York City vernacular.

The Jealous Sound was an American band based in Los Angeles that, as of August 2012, consisted of vocalist and guitarist Blair Shehan, guitarist Michael Richardson, bassist Jeremy Tappero, and drummer Bob Penn. In 2012, Richardson replaced original member, Pedro Benito on lead guitar. Benito has moved into film and television score composition. Categorized as an indie rock band, the Jealous Sound released its second and last full-length album, A Gentle Reminder, on January 31, 2012.

The group's current line-up comprises vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tim McIlrath, lead guitarist Zach Blair, bassist Joe Principe and drummer Brandon Barnes. Man Overboard is the second studio album by the American rock band Man Overboard. After the release of their debut album Real Talk (2010), guitarist Wayne Wildrick left the group, resulting in several line-up changes. Following Wildrick's return to the band in April 2011, the group began demoing songs for their next album the following month. Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck is an American rock band, formed in 2010 in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The group started out covering songs, before the band members started writing songs in April 2011. Following this, the group released a number of EPs, one of which, While I Stay Secluded (2014), peaked at number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The band released a split EP with the UK band Neck Deep. The group signed to Rise in December 2014 and released its debut album, Copacetic, through the label in July 2015.
